REALROOMS Lacey Full/Queen Storage Headboard, Dove Gray

This was a fairly easy piece to put together. The only issue I had was with those screws that go into the, I think they're called, cam locks. Those metal things that you turn to lock the screw into place. Those did not want to go all the way into the pre-drilled holes. This is a fairly heavy piece so when attaching the side pieces it would probably help to have an extra set of hands. I bought this for my sister who really likes the color and the storage space.

I will start off by stating that I thought this would be a lot taller and because I didn’t measure/pay attention to the size, that falls on me.This headboard is exactly how it’s stated. Bookshelves and fairly easy to put together. However, as I’ve included photos, you can see that it is rather disappointing. Yes, I sleep with many pillows and again, I thought it would be much taller.Do your research and make sure you pay attention to everything.

Looks great. Went together fine. Was exactly as described and I love it. My mother wants one now.

I have built several flat back pieces over the years. This was a challenge. A lot shorter than expected. Once you put pillows on the bed you cant see the headboard.

This headboard was a pain to assemble. It’s not super high quality, but it is inexpensive so you kind of get what you pay for. We have a box spring and a ticket mattress and the bookshelf part sits about 3 inches too low. The thing that made it a 3 star instead of a 4 star was how badly it STUNK! I’m a bit sensitive to smells, but I can’t even describe how extremely toxic this smells. My husband put the back panel on backwards (on accident) so the cardboard is facing the bed and after a half hour of painting the cardboard side (with non-toxic paint) I felt like I was going to pass out or throw up because the headboard smelt so much like chemicals. I don’t even know if we are going to be able to use this headboard if it doesn’t out-gas a TON.

I've assembled a lot of DIY furniture in the past, and this seemed like a more challenging unit that took me about three hours. The instructions were all there and weren't all that bad, but it just took what seemed like forever.The laminate film or veneer that gives the product its color is more flimsy than I've seen. On the pre-drilled holes, you can see where the film tears apart rather than chips apart. So that makes me think more of a tape-like sheet than a hard coating. The pre-drilled holes for the shelves were pretty ragged too, which would be fine for an area you don't look at all the time, but with more peg holes than shelves, that means wherever you put the shelves, you're going to have a bunch more empty holes that look like little ragged stars than circular holes.And as others stated here, I didn't really pay attention to how tall this was. I was more concerned with fitting to a queen bed and not being to "deep" from the wall to the bed. So it fit those two requirements perfectly. But fully assembled and using a bed with a box spring and mattress, the whole first level of shelving is obscured and I had to put the adjustable shelves on their highest setting just to see them at all. I may end up buying some pieces at the hardware store to replace this unit's "base" just so I can get the whole thing fitting at a taller height.

The head board looks nice and is very functional. It wasn't too difficult to put together, even though I hate putting things together that I bought. The instructions were better than a lot of ones I have seen. they could still be a little better though. For this price the headboard is really a bargain.

I was very disappointed in this headboard. It was falling apart as my husband and I were putting it together. Also, it was difficult to put together. I did not get my money back because the seller wanted pictures and said if it was damaged we would not get a refund. So, it was poorly made, fell apart as we were putting it together, and I lost my refund due to poorly made materials. I would not ever buy this product again.
