Tachikara GAUGE Ball Pressure Gauge

I have an air compressor so I don’t have a little foot or hand pump with a gauge on it and don’t have any desire to buy one. I could never find a tool with a gauge on it that would work with the needed used to inflate balls. I have one for tires, but it doesn’t work with the needle. This is a quick and easy way to check and correct. I just have to slightly over inflate, stick this in, and push the release button to let a little air out. Works very well! Nice quality product!

This gauge works great. As a referee, I use it several times a week checking the air pressure of basketballs that are to be used as game balls. The gauge is accurate and the pressure release is a real time saver.

I've no idea whether this is the very best ball pressure gauge or not but this item does work well. It seems accurate (we've not calibrated it but its readings are comparable to the readings we get from our other gauges), and the air release valve makes getting the correct amount of pressure very easy if you've over-inflated. One big plus on this gauge that makes it better than many others we've used is how easy it is to see the reading! No more counting off the ticks on a scale to determine the actual pressure. No more bending your head at odd angles so you can see the marks on the gauge either. The only potential disadvantage to this gauge are that it is plastic. Because my son keeps this in his sports bag, we've kept the gauge in the packaging it is sold in. We simply left the packaging intact and separate the card from the plastic top to remove and reinstall the gauge.

This little gauge dial exceeded my expectations especially for the price. I really like how the air relief button works which enables you to slowly bleed off some air if the ball is over inflated. This is the KEY feature. Also important is that the range of the readings is appropriate for balls in that you can have a tenth of a psi reading (from 0 to 15 psi and tenths within). I would easily purchase this again.

I have been using electronic psi readers for the last year in most of my soccer games and they always differ when you measure them with different ones (even between the higher priced ones). This brand shows the accurate psi of the balls. It can be compared with most professional gauge brands and it performs the same way.

I use this to monitor the air pressure in my speed bags. Gauge works great and is easy to use. Definitely recommend this to anyone who cares about consistent air pressure in anything that takes air with a needle.

This works exactly as I expected it to, the release valve is a very cool feature and works perfectly for getting just the right pressure level in the ball. However, the needles will break on you, and the threads on the gauge are made of a plastic material which makes it very easy to strip the threads, making the gauge useless.I realize that one can be careful in getting the new needles on precisely, but when you have kids who need to pump up their own gear, etc, it's just not feasible that you'll always be around to do the job correctly.I'm moving on to the digi model with the metal housings, hopefully that will resolve this issue for me.

I recently bought a second one of these. This is a high quality air gauge made in Taiwan. I'm very happy with it. I am amazed at how under-inflated most sports balls are. I use it primarily for inflating soccer and futsal balls. The best feature is the little button that allows me to let out a little air when I want to 'dial-in' an exact pressure.I've tested accuracy with another type of gauge and it appears to be accurate to me. Anyhow, this is highly recommended.

Does exactly what you expect it to do. I use it as a soccer referee to check the ball pressure and it works really well, nice and clear to read, love the pressure relief button to deflate the ball....great product.
