IT WORKS GREAT EVEN WITH PUBLIC LIGHT!!! Not a waste of money
I live In Virginia and I bought these bulbs because I work normally at nights driving on deliveries, so my visibility has to be totally clear. I have a Saturn Ion 3 2006 sports model, which uses a 9007 Bulbs but before decide to buy these bulbs I spend over 2 hours on internet checking for the best bulbs, because I decided if I was going to invest some money I always want to invest in the best, so on that way they will worth for long time, but not always the most expensive prices are always the best, so for decide myself to buy these bulbs I was checking over many sites on internet with customer reviews and comments about other similar bulbs on model 9007 but there is other bulbs similar to these Sylvania SilverStar Ultra, and those are the PIAA Xtreme white plus 9007. I checked over the internet and those PIAA bulbs are a lot more expensive than these Sylvania 9007 bulbs, plus there is no difference between PIAA and SYLVANIA, so don't waste your money on PIAA if you will have the same quality and the same performance at lower cost with SYLVANIA. I bought these SYLVANIA bulbs and I got WOOOW!!!! these bulbs are GREAT. My experience: Is winter here in Virginia and pretty much 3 or 4 days ago just snow in here so as you may imagine, normally on the streets you may find some holes and snow all over the streets, plus, because of my job, which is night deliveries, I need light by night specially. I normally drive on roads with public light, I didn't have the opportunity to drive on a non lighted road yet, but let me tell you these. When I changed the bulbs on my Saturn, First I changed the passenger side bulb and I left the driver side bulb on. (I changed them at night) and after change that, I turn on the lights to see the difference and I got.. WOOOW!!!! there is some difference over there, so it was noticeable the difference between bulbs, so then I changed the other one. Now even on roads with public light, I can see now. The roads are clear, light of the bulbs are good, excellent and it doesn't cost you a fortune. If you buy these bulbs, just test them changing one of the bulbs and leaving the old one on, then turn on the lights and you will see the difference. Try to do this at night so then you can notice the difference. As I said before, even on roads with public light you can notice the difference. Before buying these bulbs, my old bulbs seem to be as I was riding with a couple of candles instead of bulbs, now is like changed the candles and put some real halogens on my car. Lol. The roads are very bright now, and as I said even with roads with public light you can see the difference, otherwise for you to test the visibility, go into somewhere with your old bulbs and try to see how far and how wide you can see, then come back to the same spot with your new bulbs and you will see there is a very nice difference on it. I do recommend these bulbs and by the way I don't use glasses and I am a guy in their 34 years old, so I am not an old guy that maybe people might think I have some sight problems. Lol. I recommend these bulbs because they don't cost you a fortune and they are good. they work for what you pay.

Great value, great brightness
PROS: Great value, great brightness, and impressive longevity CONS: Not as blue as advertised, high-beams aren't too much brighter than normal usage I purchased these over a year ago for my Ford Ranger and I gotta say, I'm quite impressed. My old bulbs simply weren't cutting it and I decided to upgrade, on a budget however. I'm not familiar with pricing on headlamp bulbs, but I decided to jump the gun with this one and give these babies a whirl. And let me tell you, I am beyond impressed at their performance. They are VERY bright, but not bright enough to annoy whoever is driving in front of you. Although Sylvania advertises them as having that HID-like blue tint, they do not, unfortunately. On the bright side though (pun intended), they are almost perfectly white, giving you a perfectly adequate view of the road ahead of you, even in rainy weather. In fact, my only complaint would have to be that activating the high-beams isn't technically 'brighter' than the normal lights. Rather than utilizing both filaments when high beams are switched on, only the opposite filament is used, illuminating everything from the street signs to the sky, but only part of the road below. If you toggle the high beams, however, you'll notice both filaments being used and more than enough brightness to see everything in front of you like it's broad daylight. Overall, I think these bulbs have superb value and I won't stop using them anytime soon.

VERY BRIGHT, Aircraft landing lights??
Ok, first I own three auto's I have these silverstar ultras on all of them. I have used them for years. I believe you cannot (legally) find a brighter bulb! Now I will write that I read some reviewers complain about the "short life" of these bulbs. PEOPLE the brighter the light, the shorter they last!! have people not noticed that "long life" bulbs have a lower lumens rating!! not as bright as regular. Sylvania lists the average life of these bulbs at 250 hours, about one year on the average. Their standard bulbs have a average life of 850 hours!! you do the math. Now on all my autos the headlights are all manual on/off, and as I do little night driving these days a set last about two years for me. If you have the auto on/always on type, will again you do the math. Also I live in rural ohio with a lot of dark country roads. SOOO I love these bulbs. For ending I will state if you install these expect a lot of other drivers "flicking" headlights at you as these are that bright. I expect that when I "flick" back they must be shocked by my aircraft landing lights(small joke there). This is the first time I have bought these thru amazon, happy with lower cost compared to wal-mart(in store). These install just like any standard bulb for given auto. Will buy again. OH P.S. sylvania now has these in brake light bulbs!! I bought a set. NOBODY will be able to claim they did not see my brake lights now!!!!

Great Replacement Bulbs for Older Vehicles Without HID Lights With One Caveat - Shorter Bulb Life
This is my second set of the SilverStar Ultra's - first was purchased from Advanced Auto. The bulbs fit our beater vehicle, a '96 Dodge Caravan, quite nicely and definitely provide an improvement over the OEM bulbs. The distance and brightness claims are a bit of marketing talks in my opinion, as the improvement is more subtle in terms of range and breadth. Yes, these bulbs do reach a little further and wider, and they are a little bit brighter, but it's not as dramatic as the packaging and Sylvania's website would have you to believe. This is after the headlight lenses were fully restored to near new clarity. The biggest improvement in my opinion is the color temperature of the light output. It's noticeably whiter than the OEM and definitely improves visibility especially on clear nights. However, this improvement in color temp comes at a cost of bulb life. The bulbs have a noticeably short rated life compared to OEM and even the next tier SilverStars. My first set lasted about 4 years, but that's because I rarely drove at night with this car over that span. Another friend who also uses SilverStar Ultra's says his set lasts about 6 months to a year. He also drives a lot more at night. To satisfy my own curiosity, and hopefully help out fellow Amazon shoppers in the process, I've started tracking the runtime in hours in a spreadsheet (yeah I know, it's the engineer side of me). I will periodically updated this review until at least one bulb fails. Hopefully this will provide some interesting info and data for everyone! The bulbs were installed on 12/12/2014 and so far, I've accumulated 6.5 hours.

Great bulbs, but.....
I hate to give only 3 stars, and I bumped that up from 2 out of guilt, but in the Silver Star line up, they're no better than standard Silver Stars. I've had the same set is SS's in my truck for over 5 years. I figured they can't be as bright as when new and Amazon had a great deal on Ultra's so I decided to replace mine. I did so 1 at a time, at night, to see the difference. None. Not brighter, no noticeable pattern difference...nothing. I had 1 replaced so I went ahead and replaced the other. For 1, I'm extremely thrilled with how well the Silver Stars have performed and lasted, but disappointed in the Ultra's for being no better despite the claimed color and pattern difference. If I had gone from stock to the Ultras I would have been thrilled with a huge improvement. The price usually isn't much difference so either one will be a huge improvement over stock, but I'd buy whichever was cheaper; don't expect them to actually perform batter than the 1 step down Silver Stars. Now, if they'll last at least 5+ years. At least I have the old set as replacements...I know they're awesome.

Just perfect lights for my car and surprisingly quick delivery
I have ordered this lights before and very hoppy with. They are not too expensive like other popular brands and still bright enough and last a long time in my opinion. Especially winter is coming and makes early morning drive difficult without sufficient brightness. But they are no too bright so they will not disturb oncoming cars vision either. Great product.

Nice & bright
Went for it looking at all the reviews. Have installed it on my car. The spread is even & much brighter than stock. Happy with it so far. Can comment on how long it lasts after probably a year of use maybe since its yet to experience the heat of UAE. If the life is good, can give it a 5 star.
