Works exactly as advertised. Follow instructions but do add a tip of cold water before dropping it in as not to over soften the mouth guard. Great product for the price. No need to spend $100-$500 dollars on a mouth guard for teeth grinding. Carefully follow instructions.

I did it totally wrong on the first try, glad they give you two! Even though it says 20-30 seconds, I left it in there for 30 seconds and it curled up too much and didn't cover all my teeth in the back. The second time, I left it in the hot water for exactly 20 seconds, pulled it out for about 10 seconds and put it my mouth and shaped it all the way to the back of my mouth, covering all the teeth. Make sure you do not bite on it hard when it is warm, another mistake I made the first time. Since then, I have been really happy.

I followed the instructions to the T and DO NOT soak them in the water for 20-30 seconds. They shrivel up to about 1/3 of the original size. No, the water was not boiling. Yes, I took the pot off the burner and waited, like it said in the instructions.The first mouth guard I soaked for 20 sec and it turned out like the one in the picture. The second for 10 seconds and I got about half a tooth more on each side. The third one I soaked for 5 seconds and it covers all my teeth, except my wisdom teeth (yup, still have all 4).That is two wasted mouth guards, in spite of following the instructions to the T.I have yet to sleep with it in, so I can’t really judge the quality of it. My review is mainly of the mounding part.

I have only used the small size so far and even then I cannot completely close my lips over the mouthguard. Even though my mouth is technically open, the bottom of the mouth guard makes contact with both my upper and lower lips so my mouth doesn't dry out at night. It does make it feel kind of cumbersome and bulky in my mouth though.I am a first time mouth guard user and was pleasantly surprised that it was comfortable to sleep with, even on day 1. I was salivating more than normal because there was something in my mouth but it didn't trigger any gag reflex. In the past couple weeks that I've been using it, I dreamt that I was chewing something because the mouth guard does kind of feel like you have food in your mouth. I don't know if sleep-chewing due to the sensation of a mouth guard is counter-productive to the purpose of said mouth guard... because I'm not a dentist..A nice bonus to using a mouth guard is that I can spread a small amount of toothpaste for sensitive teeth on the inside of the mouth guard to keep the toothpaste working on my teeth/gums throughout the night without my saliva washing away the toothpaste. My dentist recommending that I spread this toothpaste over my teeth/gums to protect my gums. This way I figured I'll have more contact time with the toothpaste.For reference: Asian Female (with moderate sized mouth?, straight teeth, some gum recession, intermittent grinding, nose breather, no jaw malformations)

When I purchase this and followed the directions I had no knowledge of using night guards for grinding. I had a crown put on my bottom molar and thought this would also prevent me from messing the crown up if I started clenching again. But it actually messed up my bite slightly. I notice my top and bottom teeth aren’t lining up the same. I only wore for 1-2 weeks but I’m afraid this may due permanent damage. I decided not to wear it anymore.

I had tried other dental guards but either they didn't work or I gagged really bad. I have a small mouth and was able to get the smaller guard to work out of this pack. I read other people's comments about how to properly do it and they recommended doing 10-15 seconds instead of the 30 and it was the perfect amount of time. The rest of the directions were fine. I haven't tried sleeping with it yet but so far it's not uncomfortable. I hope it will help with my tmj!

Very happy with product. Instructions sound more complicated step by step for your first time use but it's actually easy. I wish I had known about these long agoI used smaller size for upper teeth. I'm average to larger bone structureHowever, my xhubby would claim I had an extremely large mouth & asked really stupid & repetitive questions.This is my second box. I liked having extra pieces since I threw one away by accident

Thanks a lot. Expect this and a variation of how exactly to do this. For example, boiling water, no boiling water, the directions here vs the directions in box. My dentist said these can do more damage than the bulky dollar store kind. If you like throwing your money away, frustration & high blood pressure.. buy now. Something of this nature should have one set of instructions rather than confusion. What am I supposed to do with this? I’m too mad to deal with this. I have no interest in trying another. Never again.
