Nice little gadget
I was impressed by the easy way it can be used. Simple instructions and the alarm is not that loud and only lasts for a couple of seconds. I have it on my frig door. It's cool to have the time that you set show in red, easy to read and can be reset for additional time while it is still counting down. No batteries or electric supply is needed. I give full marks for the person(s) who thought this up. Sometimes, the simple things are better than high tec.

Great Idea—but only lasts 3 months
Great little timer, I thought. Visible from across the room, which is helpful for someone who may not always be able to hear the alarm tone (it's good and loud, though). However, the magnetic backing fell off within a few weeks, although I was able to glue it back on with E6000 glue. Then suddenly, 3 months after it arrived, it inconveniently chose to completely stop working in the middle of timing a baking cake. Luckily, I caught the problem in time to salvage the cake, but, the annoyance factor did not abate. I guess you pretty much do get what you pay for.

Doesn’t always ring
We got this for our daughter because she was learning about minutes and how long they lasted. She can even set the timer herself. My only complaint is that half the time it doesn’t ring, or sometimes it starts to ring for a split second every minute and then won’t ring when time is up. It’s super sturdy but I get the impression the mechanics inside are flimsy because of the inconsistency of it actually making a noise when time is up. It’s a visual timer too so we can still use it, but if you need a sound when time is up, opt for a different timer.

Nice Timer
I got this timer because my digital timers are a pain to set for times over a few minutes, requiring a button push to add each minute. I typically use it for cooking times from 30 to 60 minutes and it's perfect for that, and remaining time is easily visible from across the room. I would like to see a way for it to stand on a counter and not just a attach with a magnet,

Solid quality & very durable
I highly recommend this timer. Unless you'd prefer to spend another $10-12 every few months or so. I'd purchased the digital timers that are all over online, and have been sorely disappointed with the quality. The last digital timer I bought lasted only a few months before it completely stopped working. This device however, has no electronics. It is a simple mechanical device & works like a charm. My wife & I use it for meditation and it is just as advertised. GOOD, DURABLE QUALITY TIMER. I'd buy this one again in a heartbeat.

Looks like a winner
I just got this today, so I cannot report on reliability issues yet, but it appears to be well made. You do have to wind it up correctly for it to work properly: i.e. wind it all the way to 60 minutes, then turn the dial backwards to the actual time that you want. This takes a few seconds, but is nevertheless quicker and easier than any electronic timer I have ever used. If you do not wind it properly, then the alarm will not be at full volume or duration. If fully wound, then it is loud enough to be heard from the farthest corner of my house, assuming no loud tv, headphones, active children, arguing adults, or barking dogs. If it was louder, then it would probably be annoyingly loud if you were in the same room with it when it goes off. If it's not loud enough for some reason, then it can always be moved closer. The alarm rings for about 3-4 seconds if fully wound. I especially like the red disc that rotates to highlight the remaining time. It makes it very easy to read. The magnet is strong enough to attach it securely to the front of my refrigerator. It is secure enough that I can wind and set it with one hand If I do have reliability issues with it, then I will revise this review.

Serves its purpose well.
Easy to read and use. I particularly like that it is magnetic, so it does not clutter the counter. I can see the red color from across the room, so I don’t have to walk across the house to see ho much time is left before it buzzes. The magnet is strong enough to hold it in place. It a little thicker than I expected. This might be a deterrent for some, but does not necessarily bother me.

Soft alarm
Overall I like the timer. Simple, easy to use, easy to read. My one and only complaint is the ringer. It rings for less than a second and you have to be in the same room to hear it. So, if something, or someone, is distracting you, you could miss the alarm.
