Downright CAVERNOUS.
The large Topeak Areo Wedge Pack with Velcro is a larger version of Topeak Aero Wedge Pack with Velcro (Medium) . You can go there for the original review. However, since I have both, and they are essentially similar except for capacity, I copied and pasted my original Medium review below for your convenience. Everything I said there applies here as well. I threw in some comments that are Large specific in CAPITALIZED IN [BRACKETS]. Ok. It's a wedge. It doesn't really have to do much except hold a few things and fit under the saddle. My requirements were: 1.) Well made--check. The construction of the Topeak Aero Wedge is solid. Quality fabric on the upper portion; the lower portion (lighter in color in the pic) has a plastic-like shell (to help repel water and dirt). The quick release buckles (for the straps that attach it to the saddle rails) are (relatively) beefy for what they have to do. The pack has some reinforcements so that it holds its shape regardless of whether you have it empty or full. Also, when attached to my saddle, the Topeak Aero Wedge does not rattle or move around too much while I ride. 2.) Holds my stuff--check. I needed a seat wedge to hold 3 things for my ride--my wallet and cash, my (large) cellphone (Cingular 8125), and my keys. The medium Topeak Aero Wedge does so with room to spare--AND that's without having expanded the thing. I can easily stuff a small toolkit, tube or a wrench or two in there as well if I expand it. If you're stuck for space, there are a few elastic loops on the bottom which are designed to hold a small hand/CO2 pump. [THE LARGE SEEMS TO HOLD ABOUT DOUBLE THE AMOUNT OF STUFF THAT THE MEDIUM HOLDS] 3.) Safety features--check. My final requirement was that the wedge has some basic safety features. The Topeak Aero Wedge has a reflective strip across the rear of the pack as well as a loop on the lower portion of the rear to clip a reflector or a light to it. I don't understand why so many seat packs out there do not feature this. Some other features: The interior has a couple of elastic loops across the top, useful for holding a tool kit or a tube separate from your other stuff. The opening flap has a small mesh pocket that you can use to hold money or your keys. The opening flap is also gusseted (small flaps on either side that go up approximately halfway), so that you can open it while it's attached to the bike and stuff won't fall out to one side or the other. Finally, I chose the "strap-on" version versus the "clip-on" version (Areo Wedge Pack with fixer) because 1.) I feel that the straps allow the pack to ride "higher" and "tighter" into the saddle, and 2.) the quick release tab on the clip-on version seems thin and flimsy and might break off. I don't know if it's replaceable on the clip-on version. [THE LARGE IS QUITE LARGE AND DOES NOT RIDE AS "HIGH" AS THE MEDIUM.] Regards.

Excellent overall quality with lot's of storage space!
Clever design. I have owned it for several months now and have really put it through its paces on my mountain bike. A lot of the others I have owned start to break down or fall apart, or show some other design defect by now. This one has been flawless. It is amazing but most saddle bags will not hold a modern mobile device. For whatever reason, the designers look at them and say " let's design it just a bit too small to hold a phone." So dumb! This one, however, even has two elastic straps along the top to keep your phone snug. At first I thought this bag would be a little too large but now I have come to appreciate the extra space to include full finger gloves along with the regular accessories. It does not interfere with my riding at all and acts as a mud guard to a decent extent. The zippers tend to become very difficult to use on many of these bags, after a few weeks if getting some mud and dirt on them. It is something to be watchful when purchasing one. In the store, they look great but then on the trail, it can become a different story. I have had several fall apart there. Look and see if the zipper beefy enough. On this one, I can say the zipper is holding up exceptionally well and the entire bag is pretty dirty right now, as it should be...

Practical and reliable for long rides
Pros: I bought the Large size, which effectively fits everything I need for a 2-5 hour bike ride. It holds a small bike pump, two inner tubes (25-32c), a multi-tool, two tire levers, a patch kit, electrical tape, 1-2 emergency tire boots, a chain tool, a set of missing chain links, and still has room for a small bike/seat lock or a small medical kit. The bike light strap is strong and reliable, and the overall look is great. Material is durable. I got it on sale for about $20, which feels like a great value, though I likely wouldn’t have paid full price. Cons: I wish there was a better way to fasten the bottom strap that connects to the bottom of the seat post, as there’s excess Velcro when I fully tighten it. There’s no space for a bike reflector on the seat post unless you have a high seat post.

Great bag
I own 3 of these in large. I do a lot of commuting, distance road biking and a little mountain biking too. Easily put on 8-10 k a year. Two of these bags I bought 4 years ago and are still in great shape after thousands of miles. I like the strap set up as you can get leverage from both sides to help keep the bag from moving. The large size does stick out a few inches off the back of the SMP pro saddles on my Le Mond road bikes but I like the extra room. Do not mind the look. Rather be able to store stuff in the bag, leave my jersey for food and other more quick access stuff on long rides. Only will wear a backpack if I know I do not have access to refill water bottles along the way, it’s crazy hot and on a long ride. I can get a tube, two CO cartridges, CO injector, patch kit, levers, tissues, small multi tool, chap stick, keys, wallet and iPhone XR in without having to even expand it. No banging around or movement from the bag. I could cram another tube in there if I wanted. For long 100+ mile rides it is nice to have a bit extra room on the expansion for more gels and bars. I looked around at other bags but ordered another one of these in large to replace a bag on my other mountain bike. Put a new seat on it and my old sunlite bag can not attach to it right. I know this bag will work. No brainer!

Perfect Sized 'Under the Seat' Bag
I was expecting this bag to have velcro for the under the seat straps but they're actually clips. They work fine so I'm keeping it. I bought this because I need just a little bit more room in a seat bag and this Topeak is just what I was looking for. It fits snugly under the seat - the attachments are solid with little to no movement. And, I can fit everything I need with ease: spare tube, multi-tool; wallet; phone; apple etc. You could even fit one of the small emergency pumps if you want. The only 'con' I'm dinging it one star for is the zipper. The price is right so I didn't expect too much in terms of quality. But, the zipper seems a little on the cheap side. I would expect if I'm going to have any problems with this bag - it's going to be zipper failure. But, we'll see, so far so good. The zipper should have some sort of 'tag' on it too so it's easier to find and use - the handle/pull is really small. The price is definitely fair - I would recommend this bag to friends. I have a 'Specialized' version I was replacing because I needed more room - much better build quality and design - but twice the price as well. Edit: it's been three years and I'm still impressed with this bag - no probelms; no failures. I've changed my review to 5-stars. Like the other reviewer said, it's cavernous - I love it. Super easy to switch between bikes too and really holds everything I need it to.

Form Fitting & Functional
This is a great bag that has 2 size configurations through the use of the forward zipper. The zippers itself could be a little beefier. They still open and close just fine. Instead of using a plastic cover on them, it should have been an oversized metal tab. The little black tab cover with yellow Topeak logo just slipped off the third day of use. Other than that, the bag hugs tightly and has held up to 1000 miles. The stitching is holding up and fabric looks good even through all the sunlight. I have been able to fit my wallet, keys, Note3 w/ bumper case, patch kit, 2x spare Michelin Airstop tubes, 1oz bottle of sunscreen, 3x tire levers, and Crank Bros 17-function multi-tool in the small size configuration.

More Form Fitting Than Other Seat Bags
I had difficulty deciding between this Topeak seat bag and the Avenir Bigmouth Velcro Seat Bag (Large- 73/106 Cubic Inches) . I also had difficulty deciding between the medium and large size Topeak seat bags. I wanted the largest seat bag I could get but I didn't want the chance that it would rub on my legs while pedaling. For certain, Topeak's website and catalog have a dizzying array of seatbags. I would have preferred the Aero wedge that has the "fixer" (the plastic connection to the seat), but I read far too many reviews stating that the plastic breaks far too easily. In the end, I'm glad I chose the large Topeak seat bag for my Trek DS 8.5 hybrid with stock seat. It fits perfectly under the seat and doesn't interfere while pedaling (see update below). The straps hold it very tightly to the underside of the seat and to the seatpost. The bag also has flexibility that allows it to be shifted in a downward direction on the seatpost rather than hanging the bulk of the bag from the bottom of the seat. For example, since my seatpost is rather high, I can shift the bulk of the bag onto the seatpost. I think it's better than the Avenir Bigmouth bag for one reason: The Topeak's cornucopia shape allows it to hug the seatpost a little better whereas the Avenir Bigmouth, to me, just looks like a big chunk hanging underneath the seat. The bag has a zippered expandable section. With the bag in its fully open position, I can fit the following items (see my additional uploaded pictures): IceToolz Steel Tire Levers Set, 3 Piece 2 valve adapters ( Kool Stop Brass Card/12 PV Valve Adaptor (Pack of 12) ) inside the patch kit Innovations Air Chuck Elite Inflator including sleeve and CO2 cartridge 3 additional 16-gram CO2 cartridges 3" Pocket knife Replacement 29er tire tube 2 AA batteries in plastic storage case for my GPS 4 AAA batteries in a plastic storage case for my Portland Design Works Radbot 1000 1W LED Tail Light 2 CR123 batteries in a plastic storage case for the Fenix PD30 flashlight/headlight Fenix PD30R2 6 Level 235 Lumen LED Flashlight Beretta 84FS small frame pistol in holster (biggest item by far in the bag) Park Tool VP-1 Vulcanizing Patch Kit Driver's license & other identification and a little cash in a tiny envelope There's a bit more room to spare for a couple more items the size of CO2 cartridges, but there's no room left for a sandwich, wallet, or snack bar. One minor gripe. With the bag tight against the seat bottom, it's a little difficult to get the zipper open. Other than that, I'm so pleased with the bag that I also bought one for my wife's bike. Update: After getting more comfortable with the bike, I decided to adjust the stock seat forward for better posture. My legs now do touch the bag a bit while pedaling since I'm not able to move the bag toward the rear as far as I used to. I guess your mileage may vary depending on how your seat is positioned, and different seat bags that hang further back rather than snaking down the seatpost are probably less likely to interfere while pedaling. See extra uploaded pictures for a "top down" view of the bag under the seat. To solve this problem, I put two heavy duty zip strips at the appropriate height on my seat stem. This prevents the bottom velcro from sliding down the stem further than I wish. It works perfectly and prevents the bag from getting in the way of my legs while pedaling. Also, be careful when carrying a lot of weight and attempting to use this on mountainbiking trails. After carrying the items listed above on intermediate singletrack for about 15 miles, the rear seam of the bag ripped. (See additional uploaded picture). I foresee no problem when using this bag on smooth trails, but--depending on the weight you're carrying--it might not be sturdy enough for offroad trails. I repaired my bag with heavy duty black quilting thread and just kept on trucking.

Excellent product.
Excellent product. I got a large size bag. Everything fits just as advertised, two spare tubes, mini toolkit, three tire levers, phone , small bottle of sunscreen and change purse. ( without using expandable feature) I have a road bike with slim seat. It is a bit wider then a back of my seat but it doesn’t bother while riding.
