Counting Crows

Perfect counting book for PreK-1. Illustrations are fun and the rhyming is unique. Bought this for my 2 and 4 year old granddaughters (big hit), but I plan to give it as gifts to my kindergarten teacher friends as well. Great possibilities for counting to 12 and grouping by threes. Illustrations are cute without being overwhelming. Also like the use of number words for the counting. Could be set up to use for backward counting as well and matching words to numerals as related activities. This is the type of book that can be enjoyed with repeated readings without being tiresome…..

This is a great counting book. We got it from the library and decided to get a copy for us and a friend. It counts up to twelve. It has good rhymes and repetition without being too predictable. There are funny animals. And it's a little silly. My 2-year-old loves it.

Kathi has done it again. Her sense of rhyme and story is just fun. This counting book is one that I know that my grandson will enjoy over and over and I can read multiple times. I will never look at those crows in the same way again. My grandson and I will be counting them the Kathi Appelt way.

Easy and fun to read. My kiddo loves it.

Incredibly boring book, my young nephew just couldn't get into it unfortunately. No story, no nothing. 10 Creepy Monsters was much better for counting.

My three year old loves this book. She loves to see the crows who feed themselves and pointed out one crow who lost his scarf at the end. Very unique way of presentation of birds. I highly recommend this book.

So clever! The pictures are so appealing. We read this over and over again. So much going on in the pictures that there is more story than just counting.

My daughter reports this gets my grandson rebbed up and he now notices crows all over the countryside that they live in down in the southeast.

I bought this as a gift for our granddaughter, it is a cute book. Kind of a gag gift because my daughter collects memorabilia from the band Counting Crows.

I find it boring after the first couple of pages and so do the kids.
