JOHNSON Products 15113068 Door Frame Jamb Kit

Product was well packaged and travelled well. Exactly as described. Easy to cut and install. Took stain well (the strike jamb is pine veneer actually). However, we discovered that all parts could be purchased at our local home center for about $20 in the trim section, so this Johnson Hardware jamb kit has a HUGE markup at $85. Fool me once...

Very nice fit, and looks great. Made for a much easier installation since ripping boards was not necessary. Just a few cross-cuts and you are done.I deducted 1 star, however, because of a slight gouge in one board that I had to sand out. Also, being that this is stain grade, I was a bit disappointed that the two large split jams had very different grain patterns which lead to very different stain pickup. But that's life with wood, and I guess it makes it look very authentic.One note: the large side jam is solid wood, but also has a veneer surface applied. Do not be alarmed, this is a good thing. They apply a very nice pine grain veneer over the stabilized subsurface. It is probably better than straight solid pine since it has good grain and is less likely to warp (since it is engineered).

Product arrived in good shape and on date promised. Excellent product, worth the money for the convenience of not having to ripe strips of wood. Wood was sanded and ready for staining. Very happy with this product. We are doing remodeling and will be doing 4 more pocket doors and will be buy this product for all.

Nice product - saves time however only 5/8” thickness so make sure 3/4” isn’t needed.

As advertised, with 5 pieces of wood, all in good condition, no knot holes or splits. Wood is straight and smooth. I'm using a non-toxic, soy based stain to give it a nice golden-oak color. Unless you have a table saw, some nice hardwood, and prefer saving $10 over saving 15-20 minutes, this is a good buy when building a pocket door.

This pocket door system is a great product - worth every penny. We bought two of these to use on a Jack 'n Jill bathroom. This was retrofit not new construction. The instructions were easy to follow and complete. The project turned out very nice and open and close smoothly. Yeah!

I regretted buying this , didn't fit good or look good .
