Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Japanese Beetle Trap (Pack of 6)

I purchased six of these and initially, they were fairly effective. As soon as the main horde of Japanese Beetles arrived they were almost totally useless. The beetles have totally overrun our green beans and our rose garden. There are thousands of these pests currently inhabiting our rose garden. I have resorted to just swatting them or shaking them off the leaves. Next step is to spray, had wanted to avoid chemicals but alas may have no alternative.Not effective, would not recommend.

The lure is great. It attracts the Beatles right away. When I amp placing traps the beetles start swarming me because of the scent on my fingers.I bought a multipack and one of the boxes was missing a lure. These are shrink wrapped so it must be a quality control issue with the manufacturer Spectracide.

Last year, my roses were destroyed by these vile little creatures. I was spending hours outside with my bucket of soapy water, trying to drown as many as I could, yet they just kept coming!! During a Google search, I ran across a video of a guy who placed one of these bags in his yard and within hours, he had 100's of beetles. "yea, right" , I thought. But I decided what the hell - if they don't work, I'll go back to my bucket of soapy water.I waited to hang the bag until I saw the first beetle (probably a scout of sorts for the rest of the beetle army). As soon as I opened the attractant, there were about 20+/- beetles swarming around my hands as I tried to quickly attach the attractant to the bag. It didn't take long for the bugs to start to slide into the bag, with no way out! It was fantastic to watch! Within an hour, I had at least 100 in the bag. Within 24 hours, I had 4x that amount! I decided to dump the bugs from the bag into a bucket of soapy water to make sure they were all good and gone! I hung the bag back up, and it was off to the races again! The beetles can't help themselves - they fly right in and can't get out! Brilliant!!Set up was easy, and as long as the attractant packet is working, you'll continue to get bugs! Great product so far! This sure beats trying to flick the little buggers into a bucket!

We used these last year with very good results and today by the time I hung one up and put another together I had 4 beetles caught. Just placed another order for 6. We work too hard planting and watering to have to watch it be eaten.

I bought several of these to address a real ongoing with Japanese Beetles. It was amazing to see how many were caught! I hope I won't need them next summer, but if I do, will definitely buy again.

Use these every year to catch Japanese beetles. Works well and fewer and fewer beetles each year.

We’ve had an onslaught of beatles this year, but my traps have worked very well.

Didn’t work as good as in past years. Kinda disappointed.
