Not sure what the point of this item is for. I resorted to buying various grits of whetstone to sharpen my knives properly.

Good for knives but not particularly for scissors I’m afraid, make them even more blunt.

Disappointed
After reading the reviews, I thought this might be what I was after... sadly not. The scissor sharpener has the opposite effect, went it half sharp, came out relatively blunt (nice safety feature)... sharpening knives, it crudely just removes a layer of metal but not very well... knife had a very inconsistent edge... bought a whetstone to repair.Amazon would great in the refund.
