Very sturdy
These are well-made; I bought two. They are a bit on the heavy side & I worried about the weight as I wanted to put it on my stereo cabinet. It holds up fine but it's also a well-made cabinet. This will be too heavy for cheap shelving once it's full. It looks a little bit on the industrial side, but I can't find any other pull-out CD storage cases anywhere. This is so much nicer than stacking them in boxes. Now I can easily see what I have instead of lifting and opening boxes. It's like having a whole new music collection! These also fit a lot of CDs into a small space which is great for those of us with a lot of physical media in a small space. They're not cheap but they seem like they will last and they were a good investment.

Great little unit for the price
Got this Cd storage unit in the mail today - super fast delivery Amazon thank you! The unit looks and feels very sturdy and is heavier than I thought it would be but not an issue - if anything this adds to its potential longevity. Put CDs in already - it of course accommodates standard size single jewel cases but I can also fit plastic box sets of the same height (without slipcases though). Some of those CD issues that look like a book with the CDs in a slot on the inside covers did not fit properly so one just has to experiment. Just don't crowd each drawer too much or damage may ensue. The felt linings in each drawer made said drawers a little hard to close but got easier with each try so I guess it's just a matter of the unit wearing in. The keys are a nice touch but clearly an option - have not tried them. I have this Vaultz unit stacked on top of two solid wood CD cabinets. I do not think there will be any weight associated issues with doing this but I will see. After all if the Vaultz are advertised as being stackable then I don't think there would be issues in this regard. So satisfied with this purchase so far but we'll see down the line. Feel confident though.

Excellent quality and features.
I got these to keep all my loose CDs, DVDs and game disks.Very impressed with the quality and features.Hard outside. Soft felt inside.Drawers move freely.Drawers can be locked.Felt interior to protect disks.Love that each drawer has 3 felt covered dividers. It makes it easy to separate different types of discs.Highly recommended. Quite happy.

Highly recommend
These are sturdy, easy to stack, and look good in my space. Only downside is you have to be careful when you order cd sleeves, the max width to move freely is 5”. Once I realized that issue I knew what to look for and had no further issues. Glad I bought two, I’m filling them up fast. Great to have all media/games in one spot.

Quality went from hero to zero in 6 months...
Update: 10/11/16The Vaultz folks reached out to me and told me that the build quality has been increased and replaced 2 of my units. I just received them and agree that the build quality is indeed better now.The drawers now fully open and close without significant resistance. The locked is higher quality and the part of the locking mechanism that's inside of the case are covered in felt like with the older units. Handles are on horizontally and the case looks pretty square. One of the two wobbles a bit (I think that one isn't quite level, will come up with some kluge to take care of that) but the other case is pretty solid. Overall this warrants increasing my rating because the build quality is now acceptable overall. Also pleased with their customer support.Original review:I'm not sure what just happened. I ordered one of these in March and it was great. Good build quality. Felt solid. And everything fit and worked like it was supposed to. Filled it up and ordered a second one which I received today... and it's terrible! The box isn't even square, the sides are crooked, and the lengths are wrong so there's a large gap between the box frame and the sliding drawer. The drawer doesn't even slide very well and it used to have felt on the inside that covered the locking mechanism so you didn't damage your discs... and that's gone too. The quality and finish of the lock also seems a lot cheaper on the second box than the first. What happened? How can a product go this bad in 6 months?I've reached out to Vault about the build quality. I'll update this review is they can provide a satisfactory explanation and conclusion to this.I was so satisfied with my first box, I'm extremely disappointed with the new one. Unbelievable!

Solid storage and protection.
This is a pretty solidly built cabinet, not flimsy at all though it is some kind of fiber board which would not be too difficult to break into with a screwdriver. The lock works well but I don't plan on using it. I would have preferred a simple latch or buckler so it could be simply transported by the handle without having to use the key.The big plus on this unit is that the size is designed to accommodate a CD's jewel case. You'd be surprised how many storage units are designed to only fit sleeves. It would have been nice if these were designed to stack or interlock in case I need future expansion. I use this to store software CDs for my PC so they are easy to find when I need them. I've almost filled this unit. They do make a quad unit but that would have been overkill and too large for where I'd like to put it. I've used binders with insert pages which hold a lot more and keep things organized but a lot of software comes with their serial codes affixed to the jewel case or have the kind of gatefold package that you cannot put into a page type holder. This unit is excellent for the purpose I'm using it for. Great value for the money.
