Giant Pandas Review: Beautiful - Very nice book and seems like kids up to third or fourth grade would find it interesting while younger kids won't be overly challenged. Artwork is very nice. Verbiage is great. Layout and size is great. I probably should have done hardback as I'm guessing this is going to get a good deal of use. Review: Great book! - I am a second grade teacher. My students and I love all of Gail Gibbons's books. This one is no exception. It is clear and easy to understand, but it is in depth enough that even my higher level students learned something. My most challenging behavior students are drawn in and participate! Love it!

Great facts!
Pandas are beautiful creatures. This hopefully shows people to help defend for them as their land is almost gone......sad facts but important ones to make sure they don't become extinct.

Considerable information
I offer three instead two stars because other writtn reviews are five stars. The book's information is excellent. I just am not able to understand what the appeal is. All I learned was they are swimmers and a thumb plus five fingers and they have claws similar to cats.

Superb illustrations, attention to detail, and one of the most charismatic and appealing mammals around combine to make Giant Pandas a sure hit, with its fascinating account of the natural history and behavior of the giant panda. Gail Gibbons' beautiful illustrations transport the reader to the rugged mountains of northern China that giant pandas call home. One third grader wrote: "I would read this book over and over and it would NEVER get boring. This book is a wonderful way to learn." The conservation message that is woven throughout the book provides a realistic though hopeful conclusion to a book that will enthrall children and parents.
