Great backup camera for the price!!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I originally purchased the first backup camera and loved it until it went out on me. Being that it was still under warranty, I emailed customer service to have the camera replaced. I’ve since received the new updated version of this backup camera and let me tell you, it is nice. Picture clarity is really clear. I don’t have any pictures of this camera when it’s dark but pics to come soon. This whole experience was made exceptionally well due to customer service. They responded back right away after every email. I would still recommend this backup camera to anyone looking to purchase one. Installation was still a breeze with my old setup. I just had to connect the new wires and I was off and running again. The new monitor and backup camera should be the last two pictures but you should be able to tell the difference between them.Love this backup camera!! It was very easy to install. I needed a backup camera because I have a box truck that’s pretty long in length. Really hard to see so now it’s a cinch in backing into anything. The wiring harness for my backup lights was easy to access as you can see by my pictures. I didn’t need the camera to be on all the time so I connected the wires to my backup lights. There were only two wires to connect so that made it simple to splice with the connectors that were included with the kit. (See picture) Fishing the wires thru was the hard part. Just make sure to find the hot wire from the ground on the vehicle you’re working on. Mine was simple as one of the wires where it ran to was marked GROUND (white wire) and the STOP/TURN (green wire). When the splice connectors and the wires running to the camera are crimped and connected, you’re pretty much done at that end of the vehicle. The camera should be ready to go. I did take a picture of what the wires would look like on the underside of my box truck. Using zip ties to secure the wires and tucking the antenna thru one of the zip tie. After that, it’s just setting up the monitor up front and plugging it into a cigarette slot to power it up. (See picture)I’m bad at making reviews but hopefully this help someone. Reading the instructions didn’t help me very much and their recommended YouTube video was not very helpful either. Some knowledge of electrical wiring helped but in this instance it didn’t take much to figure it out. Take your time and have someone help if you can’t figure it out.Other than that, it’s a great camera. There’s a slight delay due to it being a wireless camera. Picture quality is great and even better at night. Thanks for reading and hope your install goes smoothly as mine did.

Easiest Install Ever! Wireless is the way for sure. Great Value
The media could not be loaded. I installed this on a Honda Pilot SUV. My wife is the main driver and we have a 4 year old kid who likes to run around all over the place...so it was time to get this older SUV a rear back up camera. The install was easiest I have ever done and I have installed a few different back up cameras. The wiring of the camera can be either SUPER easy or maybe just easy depending on the make and model or your vehicle. My reverse lights were easy to get to via an access panel, plus my reverse lights are not on the brake light assembly, but are on the rear hatch...which is also where my license plate is and where the camera can be attached. So the combination of these two things made the install easy. (30 mins total)The camera is small enough that it does not interfere with being able to view the plate and the 3M adhesive pads work great (just take you time to peel off the outer paper, this was perhaps the most frustrating part of the whole process). Just work on a corner and you will eventually find an edge to grab. The instructions are better than most for devices of this type and they have multiple customer support contacts and I have gotten a response very quickly whenever I need. There is also an instruction video on youtube you can watch. There are also other install videos for similar products that will run you through the details of installation. The T-taps are a great help and speed up the install greatly. They make wiring a snitch. Just need a pair of pliers to push down on the metal tab once the two wires are in. I ordered some extra ones of these from the same seller as they work great and much cheaper than the ones at the auto parts store. The quality of the image (especially for the size of the monitor) was very good. Good contrast and vivid colors. Many monitors of this type are blown out and lack true and accurate color. Not this one. The small size is perfect for being usable but small enough to not clutter up the dash or block your view.Im thinking of getting another camera from them and hooking it up above my tow hitch to make life much easier and make for one person hitching and not bothering my wife. With the click of a button on the monitor will be able to switch from one camera to the other.Tips: Be sure to clean the surfaces of where you are placing the 3M pads...and be sure you line up things so that when you do place the camera on the license plate that it is in the correct position. The adhesive does work! and that's a good thing to keep it attached to your plate.I ended up drilling a small hole in the hatch near the license plate to feed the wire through. It is fairly hidden and I will just fill the hole with some silicone to prevent any moisture and dust from entering in.

Worked Perfect 2011 Ram 1500!!!
Great picture quality. Easy to install. I wired the positive and negative to my rear backup wires just behind the tail light. I wired the screen into my 12v cigarette lighter and leave it powered on. This way the camera only comes on in reverse. Also the camera is small and hidden away and I can open and close tailgate without touching it. Swweeeettt!
