Easy Way to Add More Fiber to My Daily Routine
I purchased the It’s Just! Psyllium Husk Powder because I wanted a simple way to add more fiber to my daily routine without a lot of unnecessary ingredients or added flavor. I like that it’s unflavored and finely ground, which makes it easier to incorporate into different foods and drinks. The powder mixes fairly easily, although psyllium naturally thickens quickly once it hits liquid. I’ve learned that it’s best to mix it and drink it fairly soon rather than letting it sit too long. Since there isn’t a strong added flavor, it’s easy to work into my routine without feeling like I’m drinking another flavored supplement. The 24-ounce bag is a generous size and lasts quite a while depending on how often it’s used. I also appreciate the versatility because it can be used as a fiber supplement or incorporated into keto and lower-carb recipes where psyllium can help with texture. Overall, I’ve been pleased with this psyllium husk powder. It’s straightforward, easy to use, and gives me a convenient way to increase my dietary fiber intake. I make sure to take it with plenty of liquid as directed, and I would purchase it again.

A little resistant to mixing with slight nutty flavor.
Does not dissolve into water easily stirring with a spoon. Some will remain in small clumps, requiring vigorous mixing. Using a handheld mixer would work better. I don't mind the clumps though. I just drink it. I prefer this form of psyllium husk to Metamucil, with the flavor being slightly nutty. I make my own bread and the flavor is very close to that of whole wheat flour. Not unpleasant at all, just different. As with Metamucil, you need to drink it soon after mixing to avoid gelling. I also add a little of this to flour when making bread to increase fiber content.

Good quality fiber!
I have found this psyllium husk to be of good quality. It mixes well in milk, flavored water, and apple juice if you aren't a fan of the original flavor of the husk as well. It is very effective and has helped my digestion. I have noticed a difference.

The product is fine but the pouch zip lock sucks.
I normally purchase the NOW brand but they couldn't deliver when I needed it so I tried this brand. The flavor is no different than NOW but it does seem to be ground a little more fine. It does seem to not completely dissolve like the other brand but that's not a deal breaker for me. I'm giving it four stars just because the resealable zip-lock sucks. I have tried, my wife has tried and no matter what we do, it will not reseal. Maybe I got a bad pouch?

It's exactly what it says it is!
I've started adding more fiber to my diet to help my gut health. I added in whole psyllium husk awhile back, but I typically don't eat things that work for mixing it in. I switched to that famous brand's orange drink with psyllium husk, but it was getting harder & harder to choke down the sickly sweet orange drink. I found this brand's pysllium which is a powder that I hoped would be easier to drink. I add 2 servings (8 grams) to a mug of about 6 ounces of refrigerated water. I add in some monk fruit sweetener. The key is to use an electric milk frother. A spoon just leaves tons of clumps & it won't mix in. The frother mixes most, if not all of it. You might be left with a bit of sludge so drinking quickly is necessary. Regardless, this works so much better than my other 2 options. Plus, 2 servings gives me 8 grams of fiber.

Just right
Product has no taste and seems to be a great package and easy to close. Mixes well into my breakfast.

CAT PARENTS: Avoid! Do not recommend!
I’m sure this is great for humans, so no qualms in that arena (hence the 3 stars). IF YOU’RE CONSIDERING THIS FOR YOUR CAT, LOOK ELSEWHERE. I turned to this in hopes of aiding my 8 yo, 13 lb male tabby whose BMs (smaller, hard-ish) have some room for improvement. I’ve had him on liquid probiotic supplements to no avail for the last 6 months and turned to this hoping for some actual results. He only eats wet food so I wasn’t too worried about the potential for obstruction due to lack of water and I started off giving him 1/8 tsp per day (in food) just to be cautious. I didn’t notice any change in the first week and by the second week, he was peeing less which started to concern me. By the end of the second week he was peeing only once in 24 hours (and a much smaller than usual amount) which is totally not normal and was extremely concerning. I cut out the psyllium husk powder and he thankfully went back to urinating normally (it took two days for him to be totally back to normal urine output). All the while, still not seeing any improvement in his daily business. I cannot stress how upsetting and nerve-racking this experience was as the entire time he was eating and acting normal so unless you’re a person who’s very observant re their litter habits daily (or in my case, multiple times a day), you could miss this. In short, even a cat on a wet food only diet can become extremely dehydrated from only 1/8 tsp a day. THIS IS NOT WORTH TRYING, IMO. I found a probiotic powder (Fera Pets Probiotic + Prebiotics) that’s working wonders in the BM Dept- if only I had found that first before going through this hell. I feel awful for putting him through this and hope my experience can steer other cat parents away from it. Best of luck to all!

Poor consistency when mixed and bad taste, but 3rd party tested for lead and other harmful metals
It gets the job done. I used to use Metamucil with no added sweetener, but I switched to this. The first time using it, the consistency wasn’t as good when mixed, it clumped up, and tasted awful. I almost threw it out, but decided to keep it. I got used to the consistency and taste. What I really like is that it is 3rd party tested for lead and stuff and you can read the results online by scanning the QR code.

Bad taste, weird colour
Has a muddy colour and taste. Tried the first serving and will not finish the rest. Bag does not reseal properly. Will never buy this brand again.
