Greenmax Drink Mixes, Purple and Yam Black Soybean, 14.7 Ounce

I took a gamble when I ordered this, as I had never tried it or any products by this brand before, but I was originally looking for a new vegetarian protein powder and thought I would give this a chance because I generally enjoy soy in all its forms and purple yam-flavored treats. I found this particularly interesting because the directions are for making a hot beverage instead of a cold protein shake. To my delight, I really liked this drink and was sad when I realized yesterday I only had 1 packet left. I like to make it at work as a snack, as the protein seems to make it more filling than the typical workplace snacks (think granola bars, etc.) It blends pretty easily as long as you have a spoon or something to stir it with. The flavor is not too sweet, and the texture is actually rather thick, unlike typical instant hot cocoa packets for example. I'm interested in trying other products by this brand now.

I was hooked on this drink mix. It is tasty and it is easy to prepare. Just add some hot water and a cup is ready for you to enjoy! I have some at home and at work because this is such a versatile drink. Sometimes, I add them to my oat to have a bowl of flavored oatmeal for breakfast or lunch, so they run out fast for me! However, one shall note that it does contain a significant amount of sugar. Nonetheless, I recommend this drink mix for those who like simple and tasty drink mixes.

I give this a 3 because firstly it’s very grainy and doesn’t seem to saturate well with milk. The taste is okay but when you add sugar it’s alright. And it’s not purple it’s a grayish color which is quite disappointing since it’s purple on the cover of the bag :(

I wasn't expecting the texture of this to be thick. I actually can't drink this warm/hot. I LOVE it cold though. I make it with a little added condensed milk then I let it cool. Afterwards I poor it in a glass filled with ice and a little added milk or almond milk at the bottom. The ice and milk help to thin it out and it's a delicious cold summer drink.

We were taking a chance ordering this since we've never had it before, but it's great! Not too sweet, kind of thick like a latte, smooth taste. If you are a fan of soy, yam and/or taro flavor, chai lattes, matcha lattes, etc then you will love this. Also the price was great and it paid to have this shipped with other items so the shipping was free on it. Will definitely order this again.

I love this drink. I feel like its more like a drink than a cereal, you can prepare it thicker or thinner given your taste just adjust the water. It isn't overly swyet and has a mild sort of nutty flavor.

Didn't really enjoy the flavor... wasn't as strong as I'm use too

I actually really like the taste of this drink. I've used it with vanilla soy milk and with water and I like using the soy milk a little better.

Tasting like mud isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I sort of find that other herbal drinks, like Yerba Matte, taste sort of muddy. This just wasn't what I expected. I was expecting it to be a little sweeter, like a taro bubble tea sort of taste. The drinks also have fiber in them, so I found it a little grainy in texture. It wasn't the worst thing in the world, and I mostly finished my drink, but I probably wouldn't drink it again.
