Works as described
Gone are the days of spraying water all over the sidewalk and street. Switch out the standard sprinkler head for one of these and the water gets put down exactly where you wanted, and does not get blown away by the wind due to the larger droplets.

Excellent uniform spread
Sidestrip sprinklers are tricky. The cheaper $1 popup heads from Rainbird, Hunter, or Orbit simply don't provide anything close to a uniform coverage. This does the trick! It's uniform coverage! Yes, it's more expensive, but it avoids brown spots, so I'll take it.Just remember these have a fine filter, so you either need to clean it often, or have a good filter upstream.

Works amazingly when setup properly
These things work great..every sprinkler nozzle in the world will require slight amounts of over spray to cover the edges of your zones properly (3-6" of overspray isn't much especially with how super low water usage these are), if you are spraying too far on lowest setting, simply reduce the overall pressure of your system from your timer box..im running 1 zone at 2% pressure, still have massive adjustability range and perfect function...dont be scared to try these! I had 3 FEET of overspray on my driveway using the adjustable rvan 8-14' this reduced it to maybe 4 INCHES of overspray and they have matched precipitation rates so mixing them on the same zone as other Rvan nozzles wont give the odd wet and dry patch mix you get from mixing other brand/ type nozzles

Doesn't work
The concept is a good idea. I even have the side strips for my lawn. But this right corner nozzle doesn't work all the time. I set it up on the first day I got it working although it is not a complete 90 degrees. A little shy of that which is a concern. A few days later I was wondering why that section of grass was starting to look underwatered. I ran the zone and the nozzle popped up but nothing came out. I flushed the nozzle and placed it back on. However, the same issue accorded when I ran the zone again. I adjusted the distance and then it worked. After playing with it and testing different distances, the minimal distance set does not work at all. I have a 5 ft strip and that is what I needed it for. The left corner strip nozzle I also bought is slightly better but in the end, its just not very good.

Not great
If you are trying to run these at the lowest possible distance, they don't work as i had hoped. Edges are left a little too dry, while everything else gets watered ok.

Not a rectangle; sub-par customer service
Rain Bird is usually a reputable product, but these don't live up to their reputation. These spray in a parallelogram, not a rectangle (see photos; the tape measure is set at 15 feet). Customer service is by email, and the seller claims to check it daily. I did not find that to be the case. I sent several emails before I finally got a promise to send replacement rotors to an attempt to get a better result. Unfortunately, the promise was empty, and I still have rotors that don't do what they say they do. I recommend finding a different product for narrow strip irrigation solutions.

Poor coverage for R-Van strip heads.
I’ve had good success with the r-van line of sprinkler heads but the series of strip sprinkler heads are ineffective. Poor coverage and inconsistent spray distances.

Great
Love these heads. Seems to put a good drop out that does not blow in the wind. Very happy but buy the bigger fan then you think you need.
