Kids' First Mandalas Paperback – March 1, 2005

I purchased this book for my daughter for Christmas. She really likes it. I think it's just o.k.The Mandalas are simple, not a lot of details on most, some are cute enough to copy and colour more than once. They are printed one per page, so you can use markers to colour if you wish. The quality of the designs is good. Lots of flowers and leaves and a few lend themselves to seasonal patterns.The quality of the printing is somewhat questionable, in my opinion. It is very obvious that most of the designs were hand traced before being printed in this book, which I find odd. Some have thin lines that are nice, others have really heavy black lines. Not sure what that's all about. Good enough for a first Mandala book for a little girl. Also, really great that they are printed one per page; I understand that is a big issue with a lot of Mandala books.

My 6 and 7-year-olds both like choosing and coloring the various designs. Some designs are very simple and others are more complex with little animals in them. I was impressed with the paper quality. These simple designs to color are printed on nice thicker bright white paper. The kids can even use markers or color hard with their colored pencils and the paper holds up well. Sometimes they cut out the design and punch a hole to hang it up. I have just ordered two more identical books because they like coloring these so much.

Absolutely fantastic for kids to color. There is enough variety of patterns to stimulate the "colour creativity" in my 5 year old daughter. There are large sections in some drawings so you can see how the child handles covering large spaces and there are smaller sections so you can judge the child's ability to stay within the lines. The paper quality is thick enough so it doesnt tear when small hands place too much pressure on the color pencils. Great book for pre-schoolers.

My oldest with special needs is getting to old for standard coloring books, but is too young for the adult coloring books. This has been perfect for us. I color in my books and she gets to color in hers!!

I got two books, one for my 6 and 4 year old. This really opened up their imagination and their concentration. I have gotten lots of cute scribbles and fun colors.The pictures are of course taken back to improved upon, until there is nothing much left to see.

My 7 year old granddaughter loves to color with me but my colouring books were discouraging her. She loved this book. I gave her fine markers and she was on the floor on Christmas Day and giving out nice looking gifts to us. She liked the designs, too.

Was looking for a older coloring book for my 7 year old. I didn't want one that was too detailed, like the adult ones but not a cartoon one either. This one is perfect! Simple patterns for younger kids without too much overwhelming detail

Simple for small hands. Therapeutic for all ages.

The symmetry and style of these patterns has a very calming effect on our 6yr old daughter; she really loves colouring them and will sit for half an hour lost in her own world! The detail provides just the right amount of challenge for colouring 'within the lines' but at the same time offers individual choice for style of colouring. Some finished versions have been cut out and turned into birthday cards for friends. Highly recommended for children aged 6yrs and up.

I purchased this for my grand-son to distract him from computer games. I have recently been introduced to mandalas myself and find them very a very peaceful way to while away quiet time and to relax after a hectic day. Hopefully my grand-son will find the mandala help him relax.

Kids Mandalas, I had read about these books when I ordered them I was surprised very good quality and the grand kids took for ages to complete they explained why thy had coloured them too .A first time for every thing. A very good buy.

I love this. It's so relaxing to colour. I'd like to say it was for the kids but it wasn't lol
