The install process was actually rather easy as long as you can control dust
I installed this screen protector on my Surface 3 as there are currently no real tempered glass protector options out there except for Microsoft's OEM option, which costs 50 bucks. Nothing else appears to be on the radar for at least the next two months, so I sprung for this for immediate protection.Receiving the package I was actually really impressed. For something that costs under ten bucks, they go through the trouble of giving you a decent shred of microfiber cloth, some lubricant (I'm guessing water and soap based) for the wet-install process, a rather sustantial squeegee and simple instructions that also provide a link to a youtube video to help with the intall process. The install process was actually rather easy as long as you can control dust. I used a Giotto Rocket-Air that I use mainly for my photographic equipment to keep the dust off as I moistened my hands and both sides of the protector. I noticed that some reviewers gave bad reviews and remarked about the protector's sticky texture and inability to really install properly. The solution to this is simple: use the included lubricant/water LIBERALLY. In most cases you don't have to worry about the moisture affecting your electronics (turn it off and remove the battery if possible), but don't be afraid to use up most of the spray bottle on your hands and both sides of the protector. Once you've positioned over the electronics, gently squeegee the water out the sides- at this point I'd use a microfiber cloth or some paper towel to soak up the water. You will notice two things: 1, there might be hazing or some smaller remaining air bubbles and 2, some scratches left by the squeegee. For the first issue, the solution is simple: WAIT. After 2-3 days, these actually completely disappear. For the second issue- WAIT AGAIN, but this time for only a couple of seconds as the cover "self heals".For me the install process was very easy, much easier than say, for a PET protector like you'd find for phones because the wet install process allows you to move the protector around for final positioning. The cut of the product was actually basically perfect for the Surface, with the camera and speaker cutouts perfectly positioned and basically no gap left to the edge of the screen. Rather impressive. As for how this product performs. First, yes it does protect your screen. However, the texture of the product may not be to everyone's taste. Unlike bare glass, tempered glass screen protectors or even PET plastic protectors, this one has a sort of gummy feel to it. This is fine, maybe even desirable if you're typing or using the touchscreen occassionally, but it's a nightmare when you're using the Surface Pen. Somewhat ironically, the gummy texture makes it easier to control the pen and in some respects makes it feel more pen-like, but it gets bogged down in the gumminess and becomes too difficult to use with moderate pressure. The worst part is that using the pen DOES leave marks in the screen protector for a long time (feels somewhat permanent), so I cannot recommend using this product if you intend to use the Surface pen. Hopefully Armorsuit will come out with a tempered glass screen protector for those of us who use one. Similarly, if you prefer a frictionless touchscreen experience then this product may not be for you.The good news is that I can't really detect any color shifts/changes or any effect on screen clarity (I'm using my eyes as I don't have any calibrated equipment to give an objective number). While the surface finish of this protector is somewhat wavy if you hold it at an angle to the light, it doesn't seem to affect anything. So in conclusion:-Easy to install, great presentation, great fit and finish-Does not seem to affect screen performance-Cannot recommend for Surface Pen users due to surface finishOverall I have had a mixed experience, but it's mostly down to my personal preference. If you know what you're buying into, I cannot fault this product as the quality really is top notch. In that vein I'd probably recommend their skin packages for protection around the rest of the Surface tablet, while using a different screen protector.

Great Product, But Not With The Pen...
This is the second product I've used with an ArmorSuit shield. The first being my Nokia Lumia 928 - I've had that shield on for almost two full years and it's still scratch-free and perfect. With a Surface 3 and other tablet products that utilize a pen/stylus, this shield may not be what you want. On a phone, screen durability is a must - the ArmorSuit shield acts like a literal skin where it can take relatively mild damage before taking a little bit of time to heal or smooth out thanks to the softer plastic than most other covers. When using a pen on the Surface 3, this great feature becomes a big drawback, and probably the biggest drawback for this product line. The stylus will slip, the calibration of the pen to the screen will be off (by +1 inch sometimes), or the friction of the shield causes the pen to stick into the shield, sometimes all at the same time.. I highly, highly recommend this shield for phones, but I have not seen the Surface 3 shield work up to that potential or performance...

I'm disappointed, but it still hold up well enough for ...
Overall the quality of this screen protector ( for my surface 3) was OK. There's definitely more friction when use the pen and you can feel the difference. Without the protector, the pressure sensitivity of the pen (which denotes the thickness of the lines) was much higher and smoother. After adding the screen protector, this is no longer the case. Also the method of putting the screen protector is very different and was very hard for me. Because of the instructions, lining up the screen protector was hard for me and I could not get it to slide the small amount it needed to be in the correct place. In fact I ended up stretching the protector instead which made the sides hang off the edge. I'll admit that I normally buy from a different company for screen protectors and thought to try this one out since my usual company did not have surface 3 (just surface 3 pro) protectors. I'm disappointed, but it still hold up well enough for now.

Great Product, but the moisture made me nervous
I was surprised that so much moisture was required to install this protector. You wind up spraying both sides with this solution, and then squeezing the moisture out where it drips down and collects around the edges of the screen. This worried me, but so far everything still seems to be working. On the plus side, this process made it MUCH easier to install and position the screen protector exactly on the screen where it should be, since you can slide it around while everything is still wet.Once everything dried, the protector looks nearly flawless, and you can hardly tell it is there at all.

Best Brand of Screen Protectors
I typically pick this brand for all of my screen protectors and this one did not disappoint. This is for the Microsoft Surface (NOT Pro) 3. It fit very nicely and was relatively easy to install. After I had followed instructions and was removing bubbles, I was worried about some smearing on an inner section and actually peeled it back a bit and re-sprayed the section. I was worried that I had ruined it, but it came out flawless, even with my tampering. I have read that screen protectors can also help prevent screen shattering when dropped, so these may be useful for more than just scratch resistance.

Liked it until I got the surface pen -
Installation was fairly easy, even for a rookie. Looks good on the device, meaning you really can't tell it's there. The problem came when I got a surface pen. I would catch, not accept input, etc. The worst part is, apparently I was then writing on the screen protector. So now I'm removing it :( Great product if you don't use a surface pen though, would definitely recommend for most.
