Defective Packaging and Glass Broke on First Use
Although I am not going to return this (the cost of the item does not justify the bother), when I received it the thermostat was already out of its packaging and loose in the box. I do not know if this caused any damage to it, but it did not appear to have any damage. However, after I placed it in the freezer the glass on the dial cracked. It may have been because of the change of temperature, but I would assume that a product meant to go in the freezer would be able to handle that. I can still read the temperature regardless, so I guess it will still serve its purpose.

Well built little unit!
If you can still buy these, get some for your fridge and freezer! Well built items, they seem accurate enough for home use. Very happy and highly recommended.
