I bought this extra “monitor” for working remotely and traveling during the pandemic. I’ll be honest, this is my second Duex, the first had a software issue, but this one worked perfectly. It’s relatively easy to set up and good quality. It’s also a crowd pleaser as it looks very unique. The added functionality to have this as either an attached monitor on your laptop, or a standalone on a desk is very convenient. All in all a very cool and useful product. It does make your laptop a little bulky, and the extra weight is noticeable but works great for both a 13 inch MacBook and a 17 inch Thinkpad. A little bulky on the Mac but not unruly. The hardest thing is lining up the magnets. When doing so slightly overcompensate to allow more of the Duex to comfortably sit past the right edge of the laptop screen. It needs to be able to be turned towards you.

DO NOT EVEN WATER YOUR MONEY! This is, by far, the WORST product I have ever purchased! It is flimsy and constantly closing and falling. I won't be surprised if it causes the screen to crack one of these days. I bought the monitor to use with my surface so I can't attach it. I had previously been using it with a tablet stand. That's your best bet, as it is much more secure! Clearly the manufacturer saw a way to make more money and rather than do a great job they just put it out there to increase profits. Capitalism at its finest!

With an upcoming vacation, I was used to 2 monitors at home for work. Friend recommended the screen and it was a game changer! Easy to attach to back of laptop for travel and pull out when needed. Great screen(quality) and good size. Doesn’t add much weight to the laptop for carrying. Came well packaged. Also kickstand helps if wanting to put the monitor on the table. Now even using it at home as an additional monitor.

Overall is a good product. I use a kickstand for mine as the magnets seem to slide when attached to my laptop.Only issue is installation and connectivity. The driver did not work at first and took a long time for the monitor to connect to the laptop. Even after the installation of the driver the connection is slow when the laptop goes into sleep mode. I am guessing there is some ways around this but haven't discovered it yet.

Read carefully. They really should lead with kickstand. Ugh. Wasted money always.

I bought the Max Trio to support video meetings where I have content to present or collaborate on. The extended screen works great for this.

This piece of plastic magnetically connects to the back of the expensive portable monitor, then slips and slams the monitor flat down on the desk! Not recommended for use on a mobile desk surface- any movement will collapse the kickstand and could cause serious damage to the component is was designed for.

You must be able to download a driver for the screen, luckily my work laptop i travel with already had it on there already, this is sooooo much nicer then working on just a single screen when i have to take work back to the hotel at night

I was confused by the title, I didn’t understand it was the kickstand only I thought I was buying a monitor so had to send it back. The kickstand was the last word in the ad and using a mobile it may not have come up on the screen. Shipping was fast & return easy.
