Stealership was going to replace this for 80, and I bought this here to do it myself for less. This 5 minute job can be done by anyone. I recommend replacing these every year but it really depends if you live in a dusty place, which means you ought to replace them sooner. Simple instructions are passenger side glove box, remove all items. On the right side unloop the loop holding the passenger side side box up. On both sides push in and the glove box will swing all the out and down. You should then see the filter, grab both tabs and push in. Remove old filter and, insert new filter. Then just reverse the instructions to fit the glove box back. You're done.This version has activated carbon so that it also removes any nasty smells from entering the cabin.I'd give it a try. This job can be done by a child.

For the price, this filter cannot be beat, installation is simple, the same as the OEM filter and it is a fraction of the price. It is a filter, there is not much you can say about it, it is a filter, either it works as good or better than OEM or it does not. This one is the former and the price compared to OEM sweetens the deal. If only it was faster to install than OEM.Pros: easy to install, OEM quality for a fraction of the price.Cons: It does not install faster than OEM.

Good product and outstanding value compared to paying for a garage to do the replacement. On my vehicle (Impreza 2011) the glove box required removal but wasn't very difficult with various videos available

Fits into Subaru fine, little air restriction, what else could you complain about? Not sure if charcoal stuff will be beneficial but we will see over time.
