A friend told me about this lav mic package deal he uses to capture audio for broadcasting church services. I checked out his videos and the audio was excellent so I ordered two for myself.When churches started coming to me to help them get their buildings streaming meetings, I got 6 more of these mics (under their accounts).In EVERY case the mic, the extension cable, and the TRRS to TRS adaptor is working perfectly.The mic sounds good, and they give you a lot for the money.If the price makes you nervous, then buy TWO and keep one on hand for a backup if your main one ever fails. That's what I've done, but so far the main ones have never failed.

I am using this with an Olympus LS-10 digital recorder (microphone sensitivity on low and lo cut on), with the mike attached at the top of my t-shirt, and it picks up both guitar and voice with no distortion, albeit in a controlled setting - my front porch. Will take it into a performance situation this weekend, and will provide an update, but don't foresee any problems.Addendum: in a strolling performance on voice and guitar, with the mike attached to the top of my t-shirt (and into the Olympus recorder tucked in my pocket), the guitar sounded great and the mike picked up most of the nuances of playing, but my vocals tended to overwhelm the overall sound, except when I rocked out more, or sang more quietly. Perhaps a placement on the guitar strap will provide a better sound balance, which I see as the main issue. Overall, though, it's a very impressive little beast, and gave me what I wanted, and for $20, you can't go wrong.

I had gotten a purple panda mic, it was defective from amazon. Ordered this one to replace it and works great right out of the box on my GoPro Hero 7 black. Now to get the purple panda replaced...I got the mic to put in my motorcycle helmet for motovlogging while on my adventure trips.. Hopefully it holds up to the riding...

Thought the microphone was broken, requested another one. Found out the audio it picks up is just quiet. You need to have this next to your mouth for it to not sound so faint. It comes with some nice accessories and a cool bag but that doesn't mean anything when the audio it picks up just leaves nothing but room for improvement.

Bought for online worship creating on my iPhone. I am very happy with this product I do have a 20’ extension.
