This is an excellent idea, but it needs improvement before it is an excellent rake. As soon as I opened the box I took the rake and cleaned out a few thin drainage areas where my roof gutters exit. I set the width way down for these thin drainage areas. I also set it on a wider setting to move a couple small leaf piles. The first problem was that the handle length adjustment lock did not lock tight enough. The rake collapsed a couple times on me while raking and the rake became shorter. The twist lock mechanism twisted tight and it felt like it was ok, but then it comes loose. You can twist the lock past the tight point easily and it becomes loose again. It does not lock tight enough to stay put. The second problem is that the tines width adjustment lock does not lock tight enough either. When I had the rake set for a thin width, the tines on the rake twisted to the side. See the pictures I attached. It needs some sort of way to prevent that width lock from rotating on the handle. Like a keyway and a slot.The last improvement I would like to see is a thicker handle. It is very skinny. About 5/8's inch wide or the width of a swiffer handle. I have had a couple rakes with skinny handles and they are rough on the hands. Also, the handle is very shiny and slippery. Leather gloves may be the ticket here to help with the skinny/slippery handle.On the plus side, the width adjustment idea is a great idea. Having multiple width rakes in one tool is a really great idea.If they can work out the bugs on the things mentioned above, I would give it 5 stars. I give it 3 stars for now.

I needed a sturdy rake that I could use to clean up after trimming hedges. I was looking at the plastic ones but the reviews mentioned they tended to break easily.So I decided a metal based rake would be a better option. The reviews on this rake were spot on.PROSSturdy metal frame.Can collapse from a wide rake to a narrow one.Can be stored easily in small spaces.It’s light.Can be used around plants without hurting them.CONSThe telescoping pole can become loose during use. I wish there was a better locking mechanism than the twist.

A unique but clever rake. I have large elms all over my yard. Some are close to property lines, fences, flower beds and the like. A standard fixed rake just never quite works because of those narrow areas that seem to attract more than their share of leaves.With this rake, I just have to flick a lever and adjust the width of the rake so that I don't have to stop and either get them by hand or change tools narrow enough.This rake appears to be built well with good materials ... only time will tell for sure, but I see no reason why this rake shouldn't serve me for years to come.I find it easy to recommend this rake to anyone looking for a tool that does just a little more than the rest.

I had a rake like this one before for many years, it finally broke, but this one is better constructed and the fact that the handle can be made different lengths is great. Fits easily in the car and the rake can be used in small areas. I have been looking for a rake like this for a while in the stores, when I found it on Amazon I ordered it and am very happy with this rake.

So much fun to use a tool like this and the kids love to use it. Its just that easy. I reccomend not to be for really tough jobs like a regular wooden or fiberglass job but it almost contends its just very convenient to have both tools for non rocky soil and leaves.

I am giving this take 3 stars because I found a very similar rake at my local home goods store for a third the price! This rake does a nice job raking up larger sizes leaves, worked perfect for the 2' high grass I weed wacked from my ditch. I also like how the handle is adjustable but the green plastic ring around the rake in the middle of the handle comes loose and can pinch your hand when you're raking since that is where you place your hand when holding the rake.

Works great to navigate through small gardens but I don't recommend it for a full yard. Raking the full yard took a long time because I had to re-rake because the leaves would not get picked up. If i made the space between the rake smaller it would just get caught and I would have to constantly get them unclogged.

Very convenient to be able to make it shorter and longer as needed. The metal piece at the end can also be adjust to "narrow" the product for easy usage.Only downside is the handle becomes lose sometimes after some usage so it needs to be adjust tightly. Can be annoying after a while.

I live in a small cabin I rent on the edge of the forest ... it gets leafy up here. Unfortunately however, there’s no outdoor storage space and so, no room for your usual rake.I’m pleasantly surprised with the sturdiness and usability of this product.Would recommend and would buy again 👌

I seem to break a couple of rakes per year. Picked up two of these a couple of weeks ago and have used them to rake leaves several times. They work very nicely and are happily metallic and sturdier than plastic and wood. I have adjusted the width of the tines to get between bushes and rake worked well. I collapse the tines and the handle and the rakes take up a lot less space when hanging on my garage wall.

I borrowed a guys similar to this, his was a lot flimsier. This one is fine for the price, I keep it on my boat and it comes in handy all the time.

It is great to be able to adjust length and width of the rake. This is a very sturdy and strong rake meant for heavy debris and wet leaves and on grass. Other flimsier rakes would work better for leaves on concrete and hard top areas.

I have a back yard this has large open areas and some very tight small spots near my deck.Instead of buying multiple rakes to handle all of this, I got this one.I can adjust the width to meet the job needed and extend or contract the pole in order to get into those hard spots.It folds down into a very tiny object and I take it to my campsite to keep it in order.

Perfect fit for our little pop-up tent trailer. Wanted something to clean up the area around the door, but would still fit inside the trailer, this is as good as it gets. We've used it on 3 seperate trips now, it folds out, does its thing, fold back up and gets put away, never even the slightest hiccup. I will be getting more of these for my camping friends. Great work on this tool.
