Does this work with the older Leapstart electronic book?

I'm almost certain this is the one I bought along with the older book pad. The only additional feature of the 3D is that is has a little 3D character on some pages, so the basics of the book still works on the standard pad

What functions will i gain if i link my system to the pc rather than simply using the books off the console battery?

A lot of these books don’t work without being connected to a pc I popped this book straight on to the console and just said connect to pc wouldn’t work without connecting it to pc first

Will i need to use the computer to download book everytime i interchange a book? How kong does this set up take?

It's a very good book and a fun way to learn. However my kid has managed to rip a page as it's only paper made. It's not cheap to buy, so I wish it would be made by better quality material.

This ABC book is great but maybe still a bit advanced for my nephew who is 2-years old- no problem though as he will grow into it. He loves using his leapfrog though and still enjoys using the book with help - he has parts he likes more than others at the moment because it is a bit hard for him still. A great product though!
