I'm a 15-year pescatarian who misses beef jerky so very much. I have spent years looking for something that had the taste and texture of jerky but, you know, obviously wasnt beef, pork, or Turkey. I have tried salmon jerky and tuna jerky before and was consistently disappointed. I pretty much convinced myself that jerky was a luxury I just wasnt going to find as a pescatarian-friendly option. Until I received this months Snack Crate. It featured Hawaii and oh my stars was I excited to see this jerky in the box! I was obviously skeptical, but even on the first chew I knew I had something special. Now, obviously it is no beef so it doesnt taste exactly like beef jerky, but for someone who has been searching for years, this comes dang close enough! The fish flavor is not overwhelming. And the teriyaki really bring it home. It may be a bit salty at times if you get over-zealous and shove huge chunks in your mouth like I did, but if you eat it in individual pieces like a civilized person, it is truly divine. I hadn't even finished the bag from snack crate before I came on here and bought more. And I will be buying much more. Thank you so much!

This jerky was very delicious! Like other reviewers have said, I am a pescatarian and have been one for 5 years now. As a result, I have really missed eating jerky. But when I saw this on Amazon I was ecstatic! At first I wasn’t sure about it because of the price ($25), but I decided to splurge a little and give this a try. When it arrived (in about 3 or 4 days thanks to prime shipping) I was so excited! I really enjoyed every piece of the jerky from the first to the last! Although I really enjoyed this snack I haven’t ordered it again yet because of the price. I just feel like $25 is a bit much for jerky, but it is very good like I said so I will probably buy it again when I want to treat myself. So in conclusion, I think this is a great snack to enjoy in moderation, if you find the price to be bit much.

This jerky is so delicious I have to hide it from my family or it will be gone in like an hour. I wish it wasn't so expensive, but I LOVE fish jerky and will always overlook price for a high quality, amazingly delicious item. I am happy my Costco has started carrying this so I can purchase locally. Warning: if you like ahi, you will become addicted to this.

I bought the lemon salt to try and wasn't terribly impressed. I don't taste lemon or salt. I was expecting a little more. Tasted like plain jerky. The quality of it seemed good though. There is a fishy taste on first bite (cause it's fish...so for those complaining about, go get something that isn't made of fish if you don't want fish) that is strong, but after 2-3 chews it tastes just like regular jerky. Okay, but for the price and lack of expected flavor I will not purchase again.

As others have stated, the Hawaiian Warrior variety is dry, salty, and fishy when compared to Kaimana's other flavors. I was really looking forward to this jerky, but was disappointed at the very first bite. I was also very surprised to find that there was no expiration (sell by/enjoy by) date on the packaging which makes me question how long it has been sitting on the shelf (and might explain why it was so stale).I do not recommend this particular flavor, but do highly recommend Kaimana's other tuna jerky flavors.

I wasn’t particularly fond of this jerky, it contains 11gm of sugar which is too high for me. I immediately felt sleepy after eating a few pieces; possible due to an insulin response. I don’t recommend it for people who are trying to watch their sugar intake. As per taste there are other brands out there that contain less sugar and taste just as great. Also it is rather pricey for only 2oz bag!

Pretty reasonable taste, probably gonna buy again. - bought salmon jerky the same time, and still haven't finished that one because it was too salty and hard...This bag of tuna jerky lasted 1-2 days, super good, and EXTREMELY fresh, and easy to eat. sort of hard to eat 3-4 pieces at one time but super flavorful. Thin slices but last a while when you chew it.(recalling how good it actually was)

this was bought as a joke for CHRISTMAS but it was actually pretty darn good- the texture is different than meat jerky but you do get the jerky and the fishy going to produce a good flavor. this reminds me of the dry flaked tuna that comes on sushi only its in big pieces
