Case is exactly what I was looking for. You can remove the keyboard since it's magnetic. Though I wish the magnetic keyboard held on a little stronger since at times it gets itself crock eyed or falls off the case (when open) if I am not careful. This is a mild annoyance and not a deal breaker for me.You can use the case with or without the keyboard in the case. You will need to move the keyboard in order to set the tablet up like a laptop screen.They send you two charging cables for the keyboard. I have no idea on how long the keyboard battery lasts atm.The flap that flips over to keep the case closed covers the back camera to protect it.The texture of the inside is similar to mirco suede. The texture of the outside is lightly textured vinyl with a smoother finish. It would be easy to clean.The case part that holds the iPad itself is slightly flexible. It holds the ipad very snuggly and feels secure, I am using a matte screen protector and the protector and case do not interfere with each other.The part that holds the pencil is secure, you can't charge the pencil with the adapter in the case but it holds the adapter and the pencil cap just fine. The pencil can still be plugged into the iPad while in this case. When removing the pencil you will need to lift the edge of the grey case and place a finger on the underside where you will find a place to push up on the pencil to remove it.

Bought this for my new iPad Air 3 and am using this product to write this review.I use my iPad for both word processing and drawing. The Bluetooth keyboard magnetically attaches to the inside of the case and you can move it around to place it where it is most comfortable for you. The little product pamphlet that comes with the this is printed in like 3 pt font. I had to get a magnifying glass out to read it, but I’m glad I did. It lists some hotkey shortcuts that have been very, very helpful. The chiclets feel like a standard keyboard, which I did not expect given how lightweight this thing is. Battery life on the keyboard is excellent. I’ve gotten over 40 hours so far on a single charge.I take the keyboard out altogether to draw. That’s probably the only real downside to this case—you can fold most of the case behind the iPad but it’s a bit awkward for drawing. It’s doable, but takes some getting used to.The case has a slot to store the Apple Pencil, a good thing for me. (I’ve lost more than one stylus.) There’s no way to charge the pencil in case, so when the battery runs out, you’ll have to take it out to charge it.The case material is fairy standard for this price point. In other words, it doesn’t have a luxury feel but it also doesn’t feel cheap. The fit for the 10.5 inch iPad is nice and snug. It wipes clean easily, so if you’re in a house with lots of sticky fingers, you’ll be able to keep this clean. (For real, I’d had it two days before one of my kids got pancake syrup on it.)This keyboard case is about a third of the cost of the Apple SmartKeyboard case. I think it’s a great value. I may come back and update i several weeks.

I bought this mainly because it has a keyboard with the case. I love that the keyboard is removable, but not a fan of the case. It is a little bulky and the outside cover is rough. I was hoping for something a little softer.

I am making an update to my first review. I had issues with the plastic breaking off so would not hold my iPad in the case without putting a rubber band on it to hold it. I contacted the company and they said would send a replacement case which they did but took about a month to get it. Was not the sellers fault.

I rarely write reviews, but when I do they are well warranted. This faux leather case fits my iPad Air 3 like a glove. A warm, beautiful, well protected glove. The faux leather not only looks amazing, and I can imagine over time will wear to look like an incredible leather bound book, but it feels good. All of the quality you would expect from an Apple product, on an Amazon budget.The keyboard is really comfortable, really responsive, and has the buttons inlayed so when the case is closed over, they are protected (as is your screen) from any damage. Other reviews have said the charge lasts 2 months or more from the initial unboxing without plugging it in to charge, and I believe it. (I’ll find out and update if anything changes)The case closure is fully magnetic, and extremely strong. Being a NYC commuter, I have no worry that the iPad or Keyboard will come loose even if I dropped the whole thing.Save yourself the trouble of looking any further for a case, especially if you are looking for one with a keyboard. I don’t always need one, and being able to remove it and still use the case as intended was what sold me... But the overall quality blows me away.(Update) I ordered the Rose Gold for my wife, and it shipped to my apartment in 12 hours. Looks better than you get a picture of up close, and the material is thick, soft, and appears very durable.

Once I realized I could separate the keyboard from the case it was fine. Very strong magnets hold the all metal bottom of the case securely in place but you have to move the keyboard to adjust the angle of the screen. The power button for the iPad on mine is extremely difficult to use. I can turn it off and on with some effort but powering it off and on is almost impossible. The sound up and down buttons are much easier to use. I gave it a 4 because of the power button issue. Perhaps not every case has that problem. Other than that it is a really nice case.Update 21 Jul 2020After using the case for awhile I figured out how to use the power button. I can even feel the iPad button under the case and I can use it without any problem. I like the keyboard very much. It is just a little larger than the one I have for my previous iPad and I make fewer typing errors when switching from a full size keyboard to my iPad. Word works much better with the keyboard as well.So, I have upgraded my review to five stars. I am now very happy with this iPad case.

This works great and I love the feel of the keys! They are very sensitive though and sometimes repeat a latter several times. The case is very nice as well.
