LEGOSuperheroes Marvel's Ant-Man 76039 Building Kit

This small set it actually pretty cool, you get Scott Lang Ant-man, Hank Pym Ant-man (spoilers for the movie maybe?), Yellowjacket, the flying ant, and enlarged lego bricks to be in scale with the figures in mini form.Scott and Hank are the same print, just that Hank is mostly black with a black Helmet, and Yellowjacket is pretty flipping sweet. His only problem is that he's Back heavy from his backpack and blaster arms.My only major gripe on this set is the ants wings. The plastic wings are fantastic, it's how they connect to the body. The two rods used to keep the wings to the ball joint stick out oddly. Nit picking gripe: the any is a hodgepodge of colors. It would have looked better as a solid color. But that's just IMO.Over all, the set will run you $19.99 and it's worth it. You get a giant ant and 3 currently exclusive figures.So far this is the only set from te new Ant-man movie (maybe our only one), but I hope they figure out a way to do more with it. I've been wanting this movie since Avengers 1 and was let down that Hank wasn't going to be in the movie. Scott works even better when you think about it.

I bought this for the mini figures, but love Ant-ony! A very fun set that comes with some awesome figures. The large lego set is funny and you can flip the "screws" really far if you want. The helmets are freaking awesome! especially Yellowjacket's. It has transparent yellow on the inside - very cool. The only thing I didn't like is the figures are hard to get off the super jump accessory. This has been true for all my sets that came with one, so it's not only this set. I love this set more than I should and if you (or your kid) love the Ant-Man movie, get this one before it is discontinued and goes up in price.

This is an awesome set, but the Ant is kind of lame. So is the big lego nail launcher. In the movie, this never happened. Also, why does it have Hank Pym whena) he isn't on the box, orb) he wasn't in this scene (that never happened) orc) he never even wore that suit.Also, why are the ants launching the nails at Ant-Man? The ants are on HIS side.The Yellow Jacket and Ant-Man minifigs both are, really, really, cool. Like bow ties. Bow ties are cool.The only reason I wanted this set is for the minifigs. You don't buy the millennium Falcon just for the minifigs, you buy it for the falcon. LEGO failed to do that here, and now the set's sort of lame. It's still cool. Like Bow ties.Set: Bad licensing. This never happened.Minifig's:Yellowjacket: cool mask, standerd glare face, and stud-firing armsHank Pym: (see top). He has Gandalf's faceAnt-Man: AWESOME. Thought about getting comic based Ant-Man, but this came out. Convenient. (For hair I would recomed Tony Stark hair or Hawkeye hair 2015) I (heart) this set.

This is a wonderful LEGO set. I really loved this. There are 3 minifigures: Ant-Man, Yellowjacket and Hank Pym. There is a catapult, a super jumper and missile shooters. The giant fly that can move its wings and legs like a real arthropoda. The wings look totally vital and live-like and the catapult and the super jumper are really cool. You can create the final battle between antman and other figures with the catapult and the super jumper. The giant fly can carry the ant-man on its top because the giant fly is so GIANT. After making the toy I really enjoyed the play. Wonderful play set by LEGO.

So this set is a decent set, but I dislike that they took it off market so soon ( I mean, even Avengers 2 stuff is still on shelves), but whatever. What I do like about this is just the whole setting of the set, and the minifigures. When Lego is making a set, the people making the movies give Lego the not final design drawings of battles or characters to base the set off, and from anyone who saw the movie, its very apparent that they changed the movie ALOT after they gave Lego the designs. The main proof of this is the second Ant-Man figure, a Hank Pym Ant-Man, and his face, which does not have the beard that Michael Douglas had, and uses a Gandalf head. But first with the minifigures...Ant-Man (Scott Lang): Great minifigure, the head is that of Ezra Bridgers. The suit is designed good, and the helmet is specially made for the movie, with red see through plastic for the eyes and the sides. However, there is another continuity problem, as the mask is not closed off, unlike that in the movie. However, this has been rectified in a Civil War set.Ant-Man (Hank Pym): Never seen in the movie, but great to have. He is basically the same as Scott Lang, but with a black helmet, black/red suit, and Gandalf Head.Yellow-Jacket (Darren Cross): Good villain to have, but I dislike the apparatus on his back, as it weighs too much. Suit and helmet are great, but the head is the generic Lex Luthor/Loki head. Helmet is new, with yellow transparency around the eyes. The apparatus makes him top heavy, and has two working stud-shooters. The apparatus has a 2x1 tan brick that looks horrible out of place, but from the front he looks fine.The set is great, with two giant-built Lego pieces, one that acts as a catapult that shoots huge screws (also built). The set comes with 2 ants (scale to mini, and the main attraction, however, is Antony, the big flying ant. It doesn't really do anything, except have posable wings, legs, and head, but it looks really cool, especially with Ant-Man on its back. However, I wish there could be a saddle for Ant-Man. Overall this was a great set, if you like Ant-Man. However, if you don't really care, I would skip this one.
