The row of bristles on the smaller ones were so thin they were useless.The bigger ones had more bristles but still extremely thin.

LOVE these brushes - they have a hog-bristle feel that is essential for getting the texture I want when painting trees, grass, etc. My synthetic fans are just too smooth. So glad I purchased this set! No shedding noted.

These brushes are real bristle with the naturally "flagged" tips so necessary to good brush strokes. There were a few excessively long bristles here and there, particularly in the smaller brushes, which made careful trimming of those few individual hairs necessary. Not too much to ask when the bundle cost about as much as one or two top-quality, name-brand brushes!

great set and terrific price. We could not tell from the description what the bristles were made of. We wanted hog hair, mink or any type of hair not nylon. We took a chance and bought these. They leave lines when using a clear glaze but still work okay. we will keep to use them when we can with other glazes.

I know it was only one visibly broken how many could possibly be broken and the damage not seen?

I love using fan brushes! These are great! Great value and easy to use. I did have to trim the tips of the brushes, and that’s ok with me! Thanks!
