waveshare 5inch LCD B Display 800x480 Resistive Touch Screen Monitor HDMI Module with Bicolor Case for Raspberry Pi 4 3 Model B+/B/A+/A, Beaglebone Black Support Windows 10/8.1/8/7

I bought this to use within the inside of my PC case to measure PC stats and it worked out really well. Very easy to install, it is powered by USB and connects via HDMI to the graphics card. Runs perfectly with Windows 10 without any problems. The included case made it easier with mounting it to my GPU holder within my PC, so that was an added bonus. Overall good value for money as it does what I needed.

Purchased for inside my PC and the set up was really easy. I did however purchase my own cables on reviewing previous feedback but it may not have been necessary.I purchased a screen with frame, a little dissapointed as the frame doesn't cover the metal around the screen so aesthetically, it's not great.When looking stright on the image is very clear but you will struggle if you have it at an angle.

Purchased to use inside of my PC case, visable via the side window, to show my chosen PC stats. Due to it being on display, I ignored the included cables, which were of an OK quailty. Instead I went with pairing with some coloured Amazon Basic cables, both of which fitted and worked without issue. USB powered, connected via HDMI to the GPU, it is recognised and works perfectly with Windows 10.Pre installation testing showed the touch screen worked without any problems, however I can't comment on long time usage, as for me this is purely for visuals only. In it's current location, the 800x480 resolution is perfect for this usage, and the colours are decent enough that black is black, and white is white. Even the smallest text is readable and not blurred, even behind a smoked side window.The included "case" is designed for Pi usage, with the option to mount a Pi on the rear, not required in this instance. The plastics seem durable, and the addition of the protective backing paper initially give the impression that the case is brown, but after peeling you've a white front plate, and black rear plate. It's less of a case, and more of a mount solution as it's not all encompasing with the sides / rear both open and everything viewable. It also took a few minutes to Google the instructions on how to put it together, from the Waveshare website, as nothing was included in the package.This is the point where I have the only gripe with the product, that plastic front plate. The white plastic, while nice doesn't cover the screens ribbon cable, and leaves bare metal on view. While not the end of the world, it spoils the overall look of a super product. I chose to paint the white plastic black, along with the nylon mounting screws, using some normal acrylic paint. This reduced the overall distraction of the white plastic, in my otherwise black case. As you can see from the picture some light bleed around the ribbon is present, but it's not too bad in person.Overall, this was great addition to my PC, I'm very happy with the end result, and at just under £40 at the time of writing, was also great value. Everything was included to get up and running out of the box, and nothing else was needed.

Great little display for showing system temperatures. works well using adia64 on windows 10

it works fine, okay displaytouch: (as an extra monitor) for windows is a no go even if set as first monitor.

if you want to use this for anything but a touch display i say go for it as its really good if you are using this just for the touchscreen part do not go for this the touch screen is quite unresponsive

Works absolutely perfect. Using as a stats monitor for my pc and had no problems at all setting it up. My only gripe would be the casing should cover the metal shroud of the screen and it should be all one colour

Dead easy to install and get working. Clear display and touch seems accurate. I'm using Raspbian.

L'écran est top mais le tactile n'est pas compatible avec Windows, je vais donc le retourner... :-/EDIT : après pas mal de test il s’avère qu’il faut connecter l’usb directement sur un port de l’ordinateur. Impossible d’avoir le tactile si l’écran est connecté via un HUB (testé avec 2 HUB différents). Le tactile fonctionne mais n’est pas très précis malgré une calibration. Tout cela est un peu embêtant…

A very nice screen that fits perfect with my new Raspberry Pi 5

Ok so I had this now for a couple weeks. It is exactly what it is: an external mini monitor. I didn't test the touch because I don't need it. The frame comes masked with brown protective tape. The rear panel is black and the front frame is white. The screen actually has a silver border before the white frame. Since I can't print my own 3d frame, I adapted the original one. I painted the white frame and I masked the metal frame of the screen with tape, to make everything black. I also removed the plastic screws because they were a bit too thick and pressing against my glass panel. I used a thin metal wire to keep the parts pressed together. I then put some velcro to let the screen stay up and straight in case I remove the glass panel. Everything works perfectly. The viewing angle is a bit restricted, not so much sideways (my computer case is on my right) but if the screen is too low or too high you will not see the colors properly. All in all exactly what I needed. Just the provided frame could be maybe a little bit better.

Ho tribolato parecchio a farlo funzionare con una Raspebrry Pi4 su cui ho installato un OS Android, ma una volta fatto, funziona molto bene (foto).La visibilità è perfetta, il touch molto reattivo e preciso.La dotazione di cavi HDMI, USB e adattatori insieme a tutto il sistema di cornici per il suo sostentamento o il montaggio della Pi4 direttamente sul retro è veramente molto ricca (mai vista una cosa così).Ho dovuto chiedere aiuto al supporto per farlo funzionare (ovviamente ho scritto in inglese) e mi hanno risposto subito. Peccato che la risposta fosse praticamente inutile: in pratica mi hanno ribadito il link alle loro FAQ e wiki. Ammetto che il mio uso, con un OS Android, non sia tra quelli che loro dichiarano di aver testato, ma ad una seconda richiesta di aiuto, non mi hanno più risposto.Comunque me la sono cavata da solo, ed ora che va, ne apprezzo le buone qualità costruttive.Anche in questo caso il cosiddetto "manuale in italiano" è veramente molto stringato (in pratica è un bugiardino), ma almeno, devo riconoscerlo, è veramente in italiano.
