So so glad I bought this. Works perfectly for cooking or as a camp fire and is clearly a quality item that draws attention. I bought the bigger one. They are all made of the same heavy gauge steel. The hotplate I perfect for burgers or veg. The grill is great for kebabs or veg. The gaps in the grill are big so not as good for burgers unless they are substantial or firm.The top tray sits within the V shape so the sides give a good amount of wind protection. The top tray is heavy and quite cumbersome. Too much weight for many people to carry around when hot and full of precious foods. Have long food handling utensils because its long and hot.Takes a bit of experimenting to get the heat where you need it but it's good fun and quickly figured out. It is possible to have hotter spots, say under the hot plate. Possibly a less hot zone under the hot plate to use it for keeping stuff warm, it's great. Same goes for using it as a fire. Getting air right along the length of the bottom is good fun trial and error, the kids love it.It is really easy to build/dismantle but please don't rush or you could trap skin and with this weight sliding it would hurt.. The panels have slightly warped but slot together easily and assume the same perfect shape every time.It comes with no bag or anything but 15 minutes with some velcro strips and duck tape and the cardboard box it came in becomes a sturdy carry case.The only thing I don't like I that the bottom of the fire sits just above the ground. I used 2 blocks to avoid both burning the grass and avoid breaking my back. The manufacturer could look at making versions with extra steel on the ends to raise it off the ground.Extremely well built, fun and practical to use. Should last a life time and not many things do these days.

Sturdy, simple design - not used yet but will do the job, I’m sure.It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a dedicated bag or case, as once used, it’s going to be pretty dirty & need to be packed away from other objects. A bag or case would have got it 5* !!

I bought the larger version which weighs in at approx 6Kg so this is not a lightweight, "portable" kit. I wouldn't want to carry this over any distance so for me, this is ideal straight out of the car with a short walk. It doesn't come with any carrier, so I made one using an old canvas bag and velcro strips.This construction is solid and well made. Although I would recommend de-burring the cut edges to make it safer whilst handling. To prevent any rusting after use, I oil blacked mine using flaxseed oil in the same way you would season a cast-iron skillet. So far this has worked for me and I also give it a light wipe down after each use.For smaller sausages etc I use a BBQ Grill Mesh to go on the top of the grill. They really help stop things from slipping through.I imagine this will last for years if properly looked after and so far I am well impressed. Best put together combi grill and fire pit I have seen and used.

Any suggestions on how to move this around simply would be appreciated! Fab product when in situ and works well both as BBQ and firepit

Love this product!! Strong sturdy and built to last. Love how flat this item packs down into our camping trailer. We are the type of family who takes EVERYTHING 🤦🏻‍♂️ away with us, so we needed a bbq/fire pit that wouldn’t take up to much space. Definitely not for back packing as it is weighty but definitely fit for purpose. Great item 5⭐️

Well made, solid built, sturdy BBQ. Arrived quickly, well packed and seller answered questions before purchase quickly so no issues. There are three sizes in all and I purchased the biggest one. Have used it twice so far, each time cooking for 4 people (although the way my family eat its more like cooking for 5). I recommend wiping vegetable oil over all the surfaces after cleaning as the mild steel will rust. Also I would de-burr the edges before use. Other than that it's fantastic.
