The Savile Row Cutter: Michael Skinner - Master Tailor

Compared to the excellent "Bespoke - Savile Row Ripped And Smoothed" by Richard Anderson, there's very little about tailoring in this book. Mr Skinner seems to be a charming fellow, but I for one would have liked to hear more about his day-to-day work and technique. Most of the photographs (not all of good quality) are of either social occasions, horses, or both. The actual clothes pictured are mostly military garments, which perhaps is to be expected in a book about Dege & Skinner. However, it would have been nice to see more of the marvelous civilian suits Mr Skinner and his associates have fashioned over the years.

My partner is a seventh generation trouser maker working for Savile Row and was interested This was an ideal gift for him.
