Good little fan
I got this fan for a room to room air flow and it works out well. It is very quiet and although its not real high pressure it does the job. Shipping was fast and I would recommend this to a friend.

Fan failed before 6 months
This fan worked fine for 6 months then stopped. I took the fan apart and found the two screws that held the motor in the housing had gotten hot enough to melt through the housing and cause the fan to seize up. I guess it is not made for 24 hour operation.

Too flimsy and loud.
The Dayton fans are industrial strength, quiet and more reliable. Worth the higher price. Six more words required --- these are those.

A few annoyances
Pro: well-built, quiet when running, reversible Con: vibrates loudly on startup and shutdown, connectors are smaller than 4", doesn't push a lot of air I have a 16' x 4" duct supplying fresh air to my garage, and a big exhaust fan blowing air out. I got this little 4" duct fan to help move air through the fresh air duct. It does okay, but the output doesn't feel like 115CFM to me. The outer diameter of the connectors is 3.75", so it was far from a snug fit on the 4" dryer hose I'm using. A couple of hose clamps smashed the duct down to size and hold it in place, but a full 4" connector would be better for fitment and air flow. When switching on and shutting off, the fan vibrates loudly until it's up to speed. Despite these drawbacks, I think it's worth the money, and I'm keeping it. It's built well, so I don't expect to ever have to replace it. That's worth a lot to me.

Inline fan review
Not a bad little exhaust fan for the price. Not the most powerfull fan in the world but works well with us on dryer venting and small bathroom exhausting.

Well thought out Design
After my earlier duct booster disaster, I spent a little more on this unit. I'm impressed. It mounts easily. It disassembles via clip rings so you can rotate the center section motor/fan assembly and reverse flow without disconnecting the ducting. The plastic is sturdy enough and cleans easily. The motor has Ukrainian origins(a little noisy, but runs and runs and runs). The high speed moves a lot of air, and yes, the power cord is comical. Twice the price of the galvanized in-line fans and worth every penny. ******UPDATE****** Just purchased a second unit (5/11). I'm happy to report they have increased the power cord length to perfection. The cord is at least 8 feet. Now a five star rating.

Great duct fan
I use this in my closet grow room for fresh air intake and it works great. Much cheaper than standard squirrel cage fans but not quite the air flow. But for the price of 2 of these I can have more air flow for less cost so it balances out. Just beware of the very short power cord, less than 6" long so be prepared.

Light 4" fan works but...
The mounting and reconfiguring is easy. The cord is adequate. The speed and power is not what I was hoping for. My bad, the motor is low rpm and low watts. To slam the fan is basically unfair but wow the engineers could've selected a stronger motor. Apparently, the price dictates the selection as always.
