Doesn't have volume buttons, or any buttons for that matter
I like the radio but android auto only covers half the screen, which might just be on them and nkt the radios fault, but it 1000% needs some damn volume buttons on the side, it's such a pain in thr ass to turn the volume up or down on it, to the point where I'd almost rather have my 1998 stock radio back, for almost $400 you'd think it would atleast have a slider or a roller knob for volume but it doesn't, I could see buying this radio if it was 200 or under but not for how much it costs vs what you get. I'm still trying to get used to it but I'm most likely going to return

Advertised for use with Android Auto, but only works with Apple CarPlay
This unit is advertised as having Android Auto but the unit I received only is showing for Apple CarPlay. I bought this unit specifically to be able to use Android Auto but it somehow came with software that does not support it.

Great customer service! WAY better than the cheaper android head units. Worth the extra $$$
I installed this in my 2001 Jeep Cherokee XJ. I ordered this specific model because I thought I would like the larger screen over the 8.1. After using it for a little while, I probably would have paid the extra for the smaller, more expensive model with the physical buttons. Easy fix is installing the Joying steering wheel controller. (note to have it work properly, you need to have the KEY and CAN IN (green wires) at the back, base of the head unit to have it work properly. Customer service is great! Rapid responses. I know i was communicating with China so a bit of a language barrier was expected. Please note, their English is way way better than my non existent mandarin skills. Read the instructions a second time before panicking. It will become easy to understand. It was a night and day experience compared to the last android touch screen I purchased. The apps are super smooth. I am just learning all of its capabilities. It can run multiple Bluetooth devices. My favorite add on is TORQUE PRO app ($5) paired with a bluetooth OBD2 reader (20). I can now scan/search/clear codes from the radio. It provides me with live stats and MPG. I can run live logs of all the sensors. This is huge for an old Jeep like mine!!!!

Wireless Apple Carplay!!!
This unit has surprised me with the features it has. It has wireless Apple car play where most of the other major manufacturers do not. This unit is fast and sounds great! I am surprised with the amount of control you get with this system. Are you an audiophile? Well this unit has SPDIF. Although, you can use internal amp like I am and it still sounds great. There are a few things that do need to be addressed. First, if you are buying the unit that I did that doesn't have any physical on screen buttons then you absolutely need to get joying's steering wheel controller (unless your vehicle already has steering wheel controls). Accessing the volume takes a couple steps and is a pain in the but when you are driving. If you already have the steering wheel controls or purchased the unit that has volume controls on the face then you are golden. On my unit, Android auto worked but the image quality was horrible and fragmented for lack of a better word. I recently switched to Iphone and using Car Play is fantastic. Apple adapts to the size of the screen and uses up ALL of th real estate and puts forward a great interface on screen. One down side is that the uneit doesn't shut down completely when the key is off (you can change this in settings but it gets rid of the quick boot time). That means that when you get out of your car, are using wireless car play, and are within range of the bluetooth and wifi, it is still connected to your unit and playing music. Besides these minor issues, this is by far one of the cleanest sounding head units I have had in awhile. Android head units have come a LONG way over the last couple years and Joying seems to be in the lead. One more thing, Joying customer service is in China and I still have nothing but great things to say about there service. They respond to emails really quickly and I feel like they really try to get issues resolved. To sum it up, I am very surprised at how great this unit is performing in my 2000 Jeep Cherokee and wouldn't hesitate to buy another.Update: December 2019After using this head unit for a few months I am lowering my review to 3 stars. I have recently replaced this unit with a Sony AX8000. My main reason why is because the Apple Carplay function is unreliable to say the least. Sometimes it takes 15 minutes to launch and some times it launches right away. Also, in order for the unit to have its fast “turn on” time, the unit never really shuts off. That means if you are streaming over Bluetooth or using Apple CarPlay, when you take the key out and exit the vehicle, it’s still streaming your music on your phone. Now, if you are an audiophile and are looking for a head unit that has the best options and sound then this unit is still the one for you. Otherwise, unless your a patient person, I would pass on this unit and go with a non-android based radio. Although it’s not cheap, I love my Sony AX-8000.
