Easy to apply
Ordered this since there was no great options at all my local stores. The product is easy to apply, low odor, dries quickly on a sunny day, and the finish is nice. The use instructions that arrive via email before the material are also helpful. Itโs a good DIY product. Of course itโs too soon to tell if the durability assured by the manufacturer aligns with their assurances, but I am happy with the product.

Troubled deck !!!!!
This product went on smooth and easy. The finish seems to be great. Time will tell. I had to use 3 coats. But from what I have seen it is the best deck coating I have used.

Terrible product
As a General Contractor I've used this product for the final surface on four decks. All the structural and prep work as required. All four decks failed and needed resurfacing after less than one year. Nothing more that a sub par paint covering. Costly mistake. I will never use this product again.

Professional Product - Works Well
Very happy with this product. It looks great and works as advertised. Comes in smooth and textured finishes. Polyelastomer coverage, waterproof. Rolls on, and cleans up with water until it dries. Make sure you shake it up or stir it well before use. It's extremely durable. It has a 3-year warranty, but if it lasts for a year or more I'll be happy. I'm going to buy a darker shade next time and see which one we like better. It's not inexpensive but like most things you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Strong deck coating
This is an awesome kind of paint. We put it on a year ago, and haven't noticed a single place where it has chipped or flaked. It survived the rain and snow of our first winter with it on our outdoor decks. The surface is not smooth and appears slightly pebbled, which doesn't bother me. I've been told some people use it locally for pickleball courts, which would have to take a lot of wear.

Our deck has been renewed
Our deck is over 15 years old and had multiple cracks and holes We were considering replacing the deck but I decided to try this first. Itโs been two years in direct sunlight and and the rubber is still holding strong. Our patio furniture is very heavy and dragging it around for two years has not caused a single chip. The slip proof rubber is great for the pool deck but in direct sunlight it gets extremely hot. It started pealing on the new boards we had to replace so make sure your lumber is aged. I applied this directly over old stain and bare areas with no prep or pre products other than the hose to give it a quick rinse. I need to purchase more to touch up the pealing but this is such a great investment on our home I will be going with the cooling one on the entire deck this time. This filled in every crack and seam so the boards look like one continuous board. Itโs dries like hard plastic. Pic here shows with first coat and 2nd with imperfections gone.

I love this paint!
Our deck is only four years old. It's crap. The builder used substandard materials, and the expensive and time-consuming stain we put on it three years ago lasted less than a year. We have debated pulling off all the crappy-quality redwood and cedar and replacing it with composite materials. But we don't have the money for that this year, so I did some research to see if I could find paint that would turn it into something resembling a composite deck. Well, this paint did the trick! I can't speak to its durability because I'm still in the middle of my paint job. But I can talk about how easy it is to apply and what a great waterproof barrier it creates. This paint is thick. It's so thick that it doesn't drip off your brush or roller. And you would think that thick paint would be a PITA to apply. But it isn't. It goes on SO smoothly. I used a brush for most of the railings (I hate painting railings!!) and a brush for the primer coat on the deck, followed by a roller. I used a roller with a thicker nap, which gave the decking some texture. I really like the way it looks and feels. It isn't slippery in the least, and it doesn't burn my bare feet when I walk on the deck in full sun. I did three coats of Liquid Rubber on the rails themselves and six coats on the top of the railing, as well as six coats on the decking. I want to make sure this paint lasts as long as possible because I'm 65 with a bad back and bad hips, and I do NOT want to do this again! Another great thing about this paint is that it cleans up so easily. Given how thick it is, that really surprised me. When I first started looking at this product, the color I needed (which matches my siding perfectly) wasn't available in the five-gallon buckets. So I waited, and a few weeks later, it was and I snapped up two buckets. The color is perfect. I would be willing to bet that by the time I'm done, someone could look at this deck and never know that there's cheap, crappy wood under that beautiful paint. One last thing. I ordered two five-gallon buckets and only received one (the second one got damaged during shipping). I contacted Liquid Rubber, and they rush-shipped another bucket to me the same day. What a great company and great product.

Not as advertised
Be careful with this. I live in a hot, dry climate, which might have a lot to do with how quickly the product failed. Within 2 months after application on a new plywood deck (and only 2 mild rainstorms), the deck coating developed MANY hairline cracks that will certainly allow water to seep through into the wood deck, but looks great from a distance. I used treated plywood, so that should help it last longer. I used their caulk sealer on all large cracks and joints, plus the Geo-tape on all joints, and followed the coverage exactly from their application guides. Customer Service told me the product isn't meant to cover hairline cracks, said that I applied too much (even though I followed their guides), said that I shouldn't have used a textured roller (even though the guide said to) and then the wood was the problem. Anything to avoid upholding the warranty! IMO this is not a good product for hot, dry weather and how in the world can it not cover a hairline crack between multiple coats of the primer and the coating? It looks to me that the hot sun is cracking it, and don't have high expectations from customer service, they are only looking for what you might have done wrong than provide any solution or actual customer service. I gave it a 2 star because their caulk is amazing and from a distance it really does look good, but up close not so much, and I'm seriously worried about duration.

Excellent solution for going over vinyl decking
Our 15 year old Duradek was showing it's age. It had lost its sheen and was fading and looked dirty. We really didn't want to shell out $7,000 to hire a company to replace a 350 sq/ft deck so we came upon the Liquid Rubber option. Approx. $1000 and 16 hours total of DIY work, and we had a brand new deck. This was 2 years ago and it's holding up very well on a south facing Alberta deck that can hit 35+C in summer and -40C in winter. Considerations: 1. DO YOUR PREP WORK!! Looking at the pictures of dissatisfied customer's projects, it's clear that not enough prep work was done prior to application. For Vinyl decks, the existing vinyl should still be well adhered, with no lifting or bubbling. Other than that, faded vinyl or small scratches or cuts are not an issue if you follow their instructions. For going over vinyl, it's imperative that after giving it a good wash and rinse with soap and water (and letting it dry), you give a good rub of acetone on the entire surface of the deck (use a respirator when doing this). This will soften the vinyl and make the primer adhere wonderfully. We used approx. 4 to 5 L of acetone to do our whole deck. Do not skip the acetone or primer steps for going over vinyl! 2. Apply somewhat generously with a roller, and alternate 90 degree cross directionality between each coat. Make sure your last coat is the direction water will flow off the deck or to the drain. Another tip: try and finish each application with the roller going in the same direction (eg. finish all strokes either on the push or the pull). This helps reduce that "vacuuming carpet" or "mowing lawn" effect from finishing in the opposite direction on each pass. 3. We applied three coats of textured followed by three coats of smooth. This works well to create a non slip environment but still comfortable on bare feet. The resulting semi-textured flooring does tend to hold more dirt and pollen and probably requires more frequent cleaning than going with only a smooth finish, but we elected to err on the side of safety. That said, it still cleans easily with soap and water and elbow grease. I wanted to wait a couple years to write a review. We're so happy with our front deck that we're now doing our rear deck. I plan to do our concrete garage floor with the leftover product!

Used over a vinyl deck
Painted 5 coats during the summer over an existing vinyl deck to prolong it's life. So far it is not flaking off. I used 2 - 5 gallon pails of the textured. If I was to do it again I might use half in textured first and the other half in non textured. They recommend something like that. I learned that changing the direction of the roller at each coat gave me a more uniform look. We'll see how it stands up in the winter.

Protecting leaky balcony
Liquid Rubber Textured Polyurethane Deck Coating. Amazing product ๐ very easy-to-use. I would recommend to mix it really well if you use texture liquid. So job is done! Now, how it will act in next year, years...we will see.
