Perfect for biking, but not for wearing all day long
This cap is snug, lightweight, breathable, quite warm, and thin enough to fit under a helmet (though I did have to loosen my helmet by one notch, but I keep my helmet quite tight). I comes down over my ears to protect them from the wind, though for someone with a larger head it might be on the small side for that.It is more or less a windbreaker, but together with a helmet it also retains heat. The nice thing is about this is that you don't sweat hardly at all in it even though it keeps you super warm.It also works really well for a second layer underneath a hat for very cold days (particularly against high winds). The only reason I give it 4 stars as opposed to 5 is that the elastic around the edge can be a little constricting on the ears and uncomfortable after an hour or so. A little padding here would have been nice, though that might have kept it from fitting under the helmet. Nevertheless, it isn't something that I'd wear all day, which isn't ideal for any piece of clothing. Still, I use this primarily for biking in the cold and wind for which it is definitely comfortable enough. In short, this is a great cap! Could have a little extra comfort around the ears, but that is only a problem if you wear it for several hours.

After breaking cap in, it fits great!
When new the cap is a little tight for my medium head, but after wearing for awhile and a machine wash/ warm setting dry, 2-3 times, the cap eventually loosens to be tight enough to be secure but not annoyingly so. I wear mine under a ball cap in the winter, it covers just enough of the ears and no more. Quality cap, wears like iron, warm & THIN!

Super Cold Weather Running Hat For Gigantic Heads
Mr. MVP has a really large head. I am a knitter and when I knit him hats I always have to size up for his head. Seriously, his head is gigantic. We did not expect this hat to fit, but after one run and one weird line across the front of his forehead, this hat has quickly become his favorite. I just ordered an additional hat for when the first one is in the wash.We live in Michigan where it is freezing cold and Mr. MVP says that this hat keeps him warm and dry during his runs and stays on his head exactly where he puts in. He wears glasses and this skull cap does cover his ears, but does not squish them. He says that it's comfortable. The hat is made out of wicking material and does not feel like much of anything, so it dries super fast. I wash it on cold on the gentle cycle and then line dry.

Love these... Plus great if you are always cold...
This product works just as described. If you have an average sized adult head, this product will fit snugly and will not come off during physical activity. If you happen to have a very large head, I doubt that this particular product will be suitable. This skull cap contains 11% wool which is enough to help keep you warm yet will not be itchy.I have been wearing them for the past month and have no complaints. When washed, they dry very quickly (air dry) and are ready to go for the next outing. It is very thin and light - after jogging a few miles, I remove it at times due to overheating. Since it is so small and light it fits into my pocketsless the feeling "that you have something in your pockets."*** My mother is up in years and is chronically cold. When in the home she wears one all day long and feels warmer and more comfortable. These are really greatfor seniors. It just took my mother a few days to get used to the idea of wearing one!

Better a Yalmulke than a helmet liner
Far too small for my size 7 ¼ head. I need a thin cap to wear under my bicycle helmet when the temps are in the 30s. When I stretch this cap over my ears, it refuses to stay down. By the time I have ridden a couple of miles, it is back above my ears. Somehow it manages to slide up even under my bike helmet. My next step is to cut the top out of the skull cap and wear it like a wide ear band. If that doesn't work, it's time to throw it in the trash. I have a nice Cabelas hunter's balaclava which works great in colder temperatures. A bicycle helmet liner that doesn't cover your ears is worthless. Riding in cold weather freezes your ears, not your head.4/26/15: I cut the top out of the skull cap. That allowed it to fit over my ears a bit easier. However, it continued to migrate upwards. After about 5 miles, it was, once again, above my ears up under my bike helmet. So I cut more off the top of the skull cap ending up with a 3 inch wide headband that I pulled over my ears. The darn thing STILL migrated upward eventually leaving my ears uncovered !!! Did I say that this was an adult size skull cap. The description should read: "this cap does NOT cover your ears for very long". It's gone…… garbage can.

Excellent - as expected, a comfortable and functional layer.
I got this as liner for under my cycling helmet for colder weather. This fits great - as someone else mentioned, it's long enough that it fits over my ears. It also fits close to the head so it doesn't bunch up. Not itchy at all, and very comfortable.I went cycling when it was in the mid 20's the day after it arrived. It worked well. However, realize that this is NOT windproof. [They don't claim it is windproof, so it's not a problem. Their product works exactly as described.]I am now on the lookout for a close to the head windproof shell I can wear over this one when it is very windy. With this and a windproof layer, I'll be good for cycling and snowshoeing no matter the weather!

Too small, too tight and itchy
The house gets a bit chilly during winter here in Chicago when we're trying to not go crazy with the gas bill, so I decided I'd like an alternative to a baseball cap. A baseball cap works reasonably well, but I'm not a fan of wearing it backwards and the bill gets distracting when watching television, reading, etc., let alone sleeping. I decided to try something different. This works reasonably well, but isn't quite right for me.I'll start with the pros:- Seems to be made of high-quality materials with high-quality workmanship- It is fairly warm, better than a baseball cap- Lightweight, also better than a baseball capCons - for my big head (7 3/8) at least:- Fits too tightly - it gets uncomfortable if I wear it for any length of time- Since it's tight, I need to pull it down far enough so it doesn't pop off, and it pushes into my glasses- It's itchy on my nearly-shaved head

IS WARM BUT NOT AS NICE AS ANOTHEER MODEL OF CTR HEADWEAR
I bought this hoping it was the same as a previous model of CTR headwear I had purchased. The previous one had a fleece-like headband built in but I with no model number to compare, I was guessing. This does fit well and doesn't have the narrow elastic that others have but it just isn't as warm.

Good product. Exactly as described. Bought for myself and lost it to my wife who is rather picky on outerwear.

Use for helmet
This product is great for use under the Kevlar helmet. It helps to prevent chaffing from the straps. Easy to clean in your washbasin and dries fast.

Four Stars
Fits a bit big for "youth" but does the job! Comes down to my daughters eyebrows if worn tight.
