The charger stand appeared to be exactly what I needed, is sturdy, and installed easily. When I mounted my phone, it didn't charge, so I did some troubleshooting. It did charge my wife's phone, but not mine, and it didn't seem to matter what I used as a power source.It turns out that it won't charge through my phone's protective case because it has a built-in mounting stand on the back, making the case thicker than the average one. My phone does charge with 2 different styles of WiFi chargers in the house, but not this one.My solution is to buy a different case for my phone, since I already have some other issues with the current case, and I really like the design of this charger stand, but be aware that it is not as powerful as it should be.

I have absolutely no issues with this charger. I bought it for my husband to use on a cross-country trip when he was helping our friends move. The following statements are just for anyone who may, like my husband, not fully grasp how to use this product. First of all, the base of the charger expands to fit whatever cupholder you put it in. Just twist the base. DO NOT do what my husband did, and simply assume it doesn't fit any of your cupholders and let it roll around all willy-nilly. Secondly, the charger automatically squeezes to fit your phone, and you have to press a button to release your phone. If you turn your car off and the charger loses power, you will not be able to get your phone out. If this happens to you (which it inevitably will, you're only human) just start your car again for the few seconds it takes to release your phone. Don't break it trying to get your phone free. It's not that hard.

This wireless charger was surprisingly easy to use. Every aspect is fully adjustable to fit a variety of configurations. All you have to do is plug it in, adjust the base how you'd like, and drop your phone in. Voila! It works super easily! Surprisingly, the wireless charger even worked through my Otterbox and the holding ring I had attached to to the back of it, which unfortunately broke. The new one is a bit thicker, so now my phone won't fit into the charger base's cradle. Another nice perk is that this unit comes with an air vent clip that has a ball on the end (to allow you to hook the charger base to it as well.) The ball works well to hang my phone from with the aforementioned ring I attached to my Otterbox. Overall, I am pleased with this product and would purchase it again!

Great unit, overall, but you have to be very aware of your vehicles cup holder layout before purchase. The plate that holds the phone must be angled enough for you to actually see the phone, which actually ends up taking up so much space that it inhibits use of the surrounding cup holders. Fortunately, the unit can also be removed from the cup holder stand and attached to a vent or other (very) narrow flap along the dash, BUT, every little vibration along the road seems to affect the plate and interrupt the connection. Not sure what’s happening there, but I’ve given up entirely at this point. If you can make due with the cup holder setup, it’s great, but if not, it ends up being counterproductive.

There really is something fun about placing the phone in the holder and having it automatically grip the phone. I actually didn't even realize that it automatically locked the phone when I bought it. My biggest concern was whether the grip would hit buttons on the side of my Galaxy S10, but this ended up not being a problem at all. The wireless charging is a great feature that helps keep my USB port free from constant re-plugging. The cup holder option is fast to install and can handle many sizes. The position in my Ford Explorer is ideal and easily within reach while driving.

I like having my phone elevated and the mechanism that holds the unit in the cup holder is solid and well engineered. The only reason I don’t give this charger five stars is that you can’t get your phone out unless there is power. A little button releases the retaining arms with a motor. So far it works perfectly. I’m worried the actuator will be the first thing to fail. I would have preferred a simple mechanical mechanism or spring to hold the phone.Still a very cool design. But simple is always better.

Definitely prefer having a phone charger mount in a cupholder rather than on the dashboard, windshield, or air vent. Feels a lot less cluttered and its nice to be able to just drop the phone into holder and have it automatically clamp around the phone.I do have a pixel 3xl and unfortunately this device won't fast charge my phone (Google proprietary issue). I can only get a positive charge if phones screen is off and if I'm not running applications. If phone's screen with GPS is on I'll slowly lose a charge. If I really need to charge up my phone I'll have to charge with a wire. Just note the motorized clamps no longer work if you disconnect the charge cable from the mount and plug it into your phone.

I am in love! This is amazing! When I ordered this product I was just looking for something to hold my phone while driving since I use GPS often and handheld devices are illegal while driving in California. I did not realize that it is also a wireless charger! I never have to worry about my phone dying now or wether or not I brought my charger with me. I use the vent connector which does occasionally slip off if I am on an extremely bumpy road but overall has a very sturdy grip. I am going to order a couple more as Christmas gifts for family members. It is sooooo easy to use and I love that it auto adjusts it grip with every use!
