High Country Plastics 2 Step Mounting Block

I was so excited to get my new mounting block!!!! and I haven't had a chance to use it yet. :( It's not my first mounting block, but I must say it's my favorite. The steps are taller than the mounting block I had gotten from TSC, and it cost less. The quality is great, it's good and sturdy, no doubt it'll hold up to the elements. My only complaint really is that I couldn't get it in my favorite color... for the same price.The reason I like the steps being higher is two-fold. The number one reason is every inch taller gives your horse's wither that much more relief from the process of mounting. The other reason is my back is bad and I need all the advantage I can get on some days.While the steps are higher, they are not so high as to make it difficult to make the steps up. That is an important aspect as well. It's light enough so that when the snarky horse decides to step away, it'll be no problem to step down and move it over. He hates when I can do that. ;)Hopefully soon I'll get a chance to try it out, if I find out anything else I'll add it in then.

This is perfect for mounting my horse, at 50+ I need a little help to get in the saddle and this does the trick. It is taller than the other 2 step counterparts and is solid enough for uneven ground while being light enough to carry around. It appears to be made well and durable.

I needed a set of heavy duty steps for my slide-in pickup camper and this product fits the bill. Seem rugged enough to endure use on rough and gravel type ground. I have only used a few times, time will tell how they will wear. My weight is 165 lbs, not sure how they will work with much heavier people but mfg. says 500#.. Truck tailgate is almost 35"high.

Sturdy, but surprisingly not heavy. I'm not very strong, but this is quite easy to move around, yet it is very stable. I ordered the gray, and got a nice, medium gray, not light gray and not black as it appears in the photo.

Not as sturdy as one would expect i weigh 210 and the top step most definitely sags when i go to mount my horse giving a feel of the mounting block being unstable. As for ease of use and convinence it meet those requirements like description says its light enough for a kid to carry.

Super alternative to the 3-step, much more expensive blocks. You only lose an inch or so and pay 1/2 the price. Would definitely recommend!

I wish the step had some traction; they are a little slippery. Also, it would be helpful if the bottom had rubber or something around the edges to help hold it in place...it will slide sometimes if the floor is not carpeted.

Seems solid on the side, I don't even come close to 500 pounds and it gives in the center, where one would normally step. It will do for now.
