Works well with factory head unit,
This is my first EQ,therefore I have nothing to compare it too. What I can say is that the Clarion EQS755 gave my stock head unit power and much boost. I have an amp just for my sub woofer and amp for head unit. Like the brightness of the blue light give my truck flare and enough light to see the controls. I purchased in January it’s now April. I always wait b4 I give a product review. The quality of the sound is great. There is hiss but adjusted my amp and Clarion EQs755 hiss is now faint. The only small drawback is I’m inthe prcess of learning or the adjustments of the knobs. It would be great if there was numbers so I can proper adjust unit. The EQ is well put together quality product would buy again.

Amazing sound quality, annoying bright light
I would buy this 100 times over only based on the sound quality. The hardware feels solid as well. However, Id love to see a much dimmer light or a way to adjust the brightness. The lights are bright to the point that they are very distracting at night.

Received nicely packaged
Received new unit in new box with harness and hardware. Will update in a few onced installed. June 2023. Finally did the install in a 2014 accord. Sounds amazing with the EQ. I have a 2amp setup. I first installed the lc2i but it was still lacking the nice big sound that i expected. It would just distort and couldnt get the nice clean bass i was expecting from a 12 kicker cvr with a 500 watt rms kenwood amp. The rear deck would rattle so bad. I replaced all the stock speakers. Cut a bigger hole in rear deck for 6x9s. Added kilmat and speaker foam. Night and day difference. Still left the lc2i installed to avoid rewiring. Night and day difference with the EQ. Kept the stock head unit to keep it looking stock. I installed the EQ on left side under dash so i can easily reach with my left hand. Others complained about light being to bright so its not in plane sight. I'll just cover it up with a black cover so it dont stand out. An EQ was a popular thing back in the day. When i grew up everyone had them. I still think you need an EQ regardless of all these new updated deviced.

Overall, the is a pretty solid unit
SetUp:I installed this into a 1968 Chevy Impala, and wired it directly to the ACC circuit. My signal chain runs from an inexpensive, vintage, Audiovox cassette deck to the 'Hi Input' of the Clarion. The Clarions output runs to a small (600w) amplifier in the trunk (approx. 10 feet of line), and from the amp into 200w Hertz speakers.Observations:Running the cassette deck and radio sound absolutely amazing and crystal clear. However, the AUX inputs on my Clarion are a little sketchy;a. Rear AUX Input: I am running a 5th Gen iPod via 1/8th to RCA connectors into the Rear AUX Input. iPod volume set to approx 80%. I have the input and output trim pots set to the middle settings. I am experiencing SEVERE static/white noise, the level of which does NOT correspond to changes in RPM.b. Front AUX Input: Running a 5th Gen iPod via 1/8th to 1/8th stereo connector to the Front AUX Input. The volume level of the iPod is 80%. The volume level and overall quality of the front input is slightly louder at the same settings, and 'slightly' more clear, than the Rear AUX input, however the same amount of white noise is continues to be present in the signal.c. I have added line filters to the Clarions input/output lines, as well as power and ground lines, but the AUX channels continue to present white noise. I have also tested the iPod in two other vehicles and the white noise is not present. Conclusions:While I cannot rule out the iPod completely as the source of the noise, I've concluded that the Clarion AUX channels are not reliable. HOWEVER, the quality of audio from the cassette deck/Hi Input channel is OUTSTANDING!
