Works well with factory head unit,
This is my first EQ,therefore I have nothing to compare it too. What I can say is that the Clarion EQS755 gave my stock head unit power and much boost. I have an amp just for my sub woofer and amp for head unit. Like the brightness of the blue light give my truck flare and enough light to see the controls. I purchased in January it’s now April. I always wait b4 I give a product review. The quality of the sound is great. There is hiss but adjusted my amp and Clarion EQs755 hiss is now faint. The only small drawback is I’m inthe prcess of learning or the adjustments of the knobs. It would be great if there was numbers so I can proper adjust unit. The EQ is well put together quality product would buy again.

Got a stock head unit you love? Forget the LOC
Got a stock head unit you love? Forget the LOC, this is what you want. My truck has a uconnect 430n. Navagation, hard disk drive, iPod port in the glove box..Siriusxm if you like bad audio.. nice head unit, but no low rca outputs. The EQ on the head unit is "low, mid, high".. The clarion covers what the head unit is missing. Takes in the speaker wire, converts to front, rear, sub rca out to amp. Gives complete EQ control at your fingertips while driving. Separate bass mob (subwoofer only) means not having to mount another bass boost knob from the amp. Or better yet, no crawling under the seat to adjust eq and sub output.. Yes, it's damn bright. I mounted it low on the dash, out of my line of sight while looking at the road. It lights up my lower console pockets very well so I don't have to turn on overhead light. Had one of these in my first car over 20 years ago. There is a reason they are still being manufactured. Update: this really brought put the distortion of my factory head unit. So I ditched the HU and installed an Android tablet. Line out of earphone jack to main input on EQ. Loud and CLEAR. Ran AUX rear out for CD player, and front AUX for friends sharing.

Received nicely packaged
Received new unit in new box with harness and hardware. Will update in a few onced installed. June 2023. Finally did the install in a 2014 accord. Sounds amazing with the EQ. I have a 2amp setup. I first installed the lc2i but it was still lacking the nice big sound that i expected. It would just distort and couldnt get the nice clean bass i was expecting from a 12 kicker cvr with a 500 watt rms kenwood amp. The rear deck would rattle so bad. I replaced all the stock speakers. Cut a bigger hole in rear deck for 6x9s. Added kilmat and speaker foam. Night and day difference. Still left the lc2i installed to avoid rewiring. Night and day difference with the EQ. Kept the stock head unit to keep it looking stock. I installed the EQ on left side under dash so i can easily reach with my left hand. Others complained about light being to bright so its not in plane sight. I'll just cover it up with a black cover so it dont stand out. An EQ was a popular thing back in the day. When i grew up everyone had them. I still think you need an EQ regardless of all these new updated deviced.

The best peace of audio equipment you can add to your system.
I have to 12 inch woofers 2 6/5 an 2 6by9s along with a 10 in screen deck. An 2 1000 watt amps ,The deck does not have enough output lines for all the speakers i have so by me having to put adaptors in to my outputs i was losing power. Once i added the clarion EQ i gained all of my power an i can say it sounds 100 percent better, i can control my highs an mids an also my subs an all the in betweens, the EQ is while put together very sturdy , for under 80 bucks beleave me when i say it the best peace you can add to your system. The install is very simple even for a beginner, the outputs an inputs speaks for them shelfs simple. I can honestly say this is worth every penny of what i paid a major up grade to my system an ive had no problems what so ever. Very satisfyed .

Overall, the is a pretty solid unit
SetUp: I installed this into a 1968 Chevy Impala, and wired it directly to the ACC circuit. My signal chain runs from an inexpensive, vintage, Audiovox cassette deck to the 'Hi Input' of the Clarion. The Clarions output runs to a small (600w) amplifier in the trunk (approx. 10 feet of line), and from the amp into 200w Hertz speakers. Observations: Running the cassette deck and radio sound absolutely amazing and crystal clear. However, the AUX inputs on my Clarion are a little sketchy; a. Rear AUX Input: I am running a 5th Gen iPod via 1/8th to RCA connectors into the Rear AUX Input. iPod volume set to approx 80%. I have the input and output trim pots set to the middle settings. I am experiencing SEVERE static/white noise, the level of which does NOT correspond to changes in RPM. b. Front AUX Input: Running a 5th Gen iPod via 1/8th to 1/8th stereo connector to the Front AUX Input. The volume level of the iPod is 80%. The volume level and overall quality of the front input is slightly louder at the same settings, and 'slightly' more clear, than the Rear AUX input, however the same amount of white noise is continues to be present in the signal. c. I have added line filters to the Clarions input/output lines, as well as power and ground lines, but the AUX channels continue to present white noise. I have also tested the iPod in two other vehicles and the white noise is not present. Conclusions: While I cannot rule out the iPod completely as the source of the noise, I've concluded that the Clarion AUX channels are not reliable. HOWEVER, the quality of audio from the cassette deck/Hi Input channel is OUTSTANDING!

Used to complete sub and amp install with stock head unit. Paired with a custom T-harness, I used this unit as a line output converter and i.m.o. sound quality is better and has more features than a standard l.o.c.. Sound is crisp and clear and the controls feel solid and have a definitive dial feel. The blue light is bright at night but looks great. It's been out a while but a must have with your audio system, stock head unit or aftermarket. Amazing piece of kit!!

Its only been a day and i am still in the process of fine tuning everything but so far it sounds good. I can notice a clearer front stage and a fuller sub stage. You have to be careful to reset your amplifier gains properly or else you will clip and possibly damage your speakers. One thing i really wish they would add to this EQ is a tiny blue led dot on each dial so its clear where the dial is set to. In the dark you cant tell at all. I dont know why they didnt do this to begin with. It would have been so convenient. Now im thinking of ways to do this maybe with a dab of glow in the dark paint? UPDATE: about a year after my purchase, the 50hz and 125hz knob broke and they wont move to the left anymore. I can only boost not cut which is very annoying. I am pretty disappointed this broke only after a year.
