A Great Complement to Organic Gardening Methods
I just finished this book on the subject of Worm Farming. Having an interest in organic gardening, I came across this new book and gave it a try. I have to say, it was very informative! I never considered the idea of having a worm farm in addition to a home garden. It makes perfect sense, as one can create incredible compost to bring vibrant life to the garden and at the same time a resource for supplying it with nature’s best helper.I found this book to be very thorough and far from complicated. The author takes time to explain the essential points that one needs to start, and does not use terms that would drive off the average reader. It is well written and takes you step by step through the process of set up, maintenance and troubleshooting so that you have a healthy batch of worms!A few of the key points on this is that it does not require a lot of space, and it also does not require a lot of time. Thus it can be done as a hobby or a great project for kids! Also, the author goes in the larger picture for those that want to take it a step further and make worm farming into a business venture.Overall it is a great book with a lot of valuable information about feeding, climate control, composting and how the whole process can tie in with your recycling efforts at home. A must read for any gardener, and definitely one for people who like to go fishing. The author makes the subject easy to learn and the book will serve as a great reference guide to keep your worm farm healthy and prosperous.

NOT THIS ONE...
I bought, and just read, this book by Brian Grant and The Worm Book for Beginners by Frank Randall. This book costs almost twice as much but is not even comparable to the quality and thoroughness of Mr. Randall's book.

A Natural Fertilizer for Organic Growing
This is awesome book on worm farming. If you like organic farming this is the book for you. It explains how worms fertilize naturally. It explains how to make compost which is a natural fertilizer. It tells you what types of worms are good for doing certain things. The worms create a naturally rich soil that is wonderful for gardening. The process is not costly. A lot of the materials you can find around your house. It explains how to keep the worms. It is also good for the environment since harmful chemicals are not being used.Overall, this is a wonderful way of learning how to fertilize nature’s way.

Great book, could use more illustrations
I enjoyed the book and the content is valuable, but I would have like to had more illustrations or pictures of their set ups. I would also liked to have seen a plan for a wooden worm box. I found one on our university extension website.

Worst purchase ever
Likely the worst purchase I've ever made from Amazon. It may look like an informative book, but it's barely long enough to qualify as a pamphlet. The information quality is on part with a small child's school report on worms. Please, don't waste your time. You would be better served keeping your money and just searching "worm composting" on Google. You will get more information, and you won't get burned on a terrible excuse for a "book".

Can not call this a book!!
Do not buy this book! You can find all the information on the web and much more. I could write a better book without even having a worm farm, its not informative and just repeats the same information over and over like some guy just decided to sit down at a table for a few hours scribling of the top of his head what he thinks about worm farming.
