This gem is LOADED with games to help kids practice their facts! I also like their reasoning about the order the facts should be learned. It gives three types of flash cards to print out along with many tips on how to lay a foundation. The math foundation for each child will be firmer if he/she knows the basic facts, it goes right along with knowing sight words in reading, it is a must!

I wish I had bought this book sooner. Both my girls (one struggling, the other not) have loved these activities and I appreciate the companion online resource with all the blackline masters. The sequence for developing fluency ended up being the key for both my daughters mastering their math facts. Look forward to purchasing the follow-up book for multiplication and division. So grateful for this resource!

My students this year have amazing fluency in addition facts because of this book. I use the routines and games during math time and in math stations. They really enjoy them. I see very little counting on fingers at this point and believe that they won't be doing that at all by the end of the year. Wish I had this book last year!

I enjoyed reading this book because of the way the book is organized and how it offers numerous strategies for helping students master addition and subtraction. The cd which comes with the book has many templates to help you in your lessons. I will use it to refer to quite often as I use it in my classroom.

This is a wonderful book for me to help my son understand addition and subtraction. It teaches me how to teach him the various ways of understanding numbers! Fun ideas, it's great! Very pleased.

The best out there for helping students learn the basic math facts without "drill and kill." This shows you the order in which you should teach the facts, and has dozens of activities to use to help students truly gain fluency.
