Fun!
This is a good chapter book. There are black and white pictures throughout. My grandkids were excited about it’s updated references. For instance, it made reference to using a tablet. The storyline explains blood cells and the process that takes place when something invasive enters the blood... in magic school bus style of course :).A new character is introduced and I dont want to spoil the surprise of who!Very happy with the purchase👍🏻

Science and imagination combined!
Yes! My son wanted to read these even after he saw the shows. He loves the series.

Black & white
Good information but a disappointment because pictures were in black & white. Should have been in comic book form to make it interesting info. for kids.

Yay for science
I liked the science of this, and the exploration, and the way the kids were such active participants, but the plot felt a little staged or something—I can't quite put my finger on it—the dialogue was sometimes unnatural, and the solution came a bit too easy. Still, it was cute. The black and white pictures were nice, and I liked the Ask Professor Frizzle part at the end. I think it would make a good transition chapter book for those interested in science.I'm not the target audience. I'm an adult who likes (or loves) a lot of older middle grade chapter books and who also loves clever picture books, but who doesn't always enjoy these in-between bridge books. So, my personal enjoyment was 3 stars, but I think certain ages of inquisitive children might like it a lot more. So, I think it's more of a 3.5, but I rounded up to 4 because…yay science!!!

Perfect early chapter book
My daughter has been very interested in learning about getting sick lately. She had never heard of The Magic School Bus but thanks to this book she has now read three of these branches books and after she's read them all, I'm hoping to move her on to the more advanced Magic School Bus books that she's not ready for just yet. I think typically kids may need more information to understand some of the science in this book, so it may be best to read together. It says 2nd grade reading level and I would agree.

Great series!
This is a great series for readers transitioning to chapter books. However, of the first three books of the series (this one, Sink or Swim, and Monster Power) this book’s plot line involving antibodies and t-cells was the most challenging. My younger kid is an advanced readee and breezed through the first two, this one was more of struggle to comprehend.

Excellent but colour pictures would improve it.
Excellent but worth noting the pictures are all black and white, and it’s a lot of text with multiple chapters for younger readers.

No es lo que esperaba
El cuento está lindo, pero los dibujos son en blanco y negro.
