Love it!
It was my 1st time using and purchasing a chocolate fountain but I am so glad I purchased this. Super easy to set up/use and clean (just be sure to clean it right after you are done, don't let it sit). I did preheat the fountain for about 20-30 minutes prior to use like others recommended before putting the melted chocolate in. Be sure to level the chocolate so it flows evenly. This worked perfectly and was not noisy at all. Major hit at my daughter's sweet 16. I used with 4lbs of chocolate melts and it lasted for about 4hrs.

Easy to use
I only bought 2 pounds of melting wafers and it takes 4 pounds. I used Hershey kisses and chocolate bars and it worked great. Chocolate had lumps and machine smoothed them right out. Easy to clean.

I was afraid of getting it but now I am so pleased I did it!
Hi everyone,I bought the chocolate fountain for my daughter's Bday. I wasn't sure how to use it and was literally afraid that it wouldn't work properly. To add to my stress, my husband wasn't very enthusiastic. Well, the machine was totally easy to assemble, I did it myself in about 3 minutes. Melting the chocolate is what took more time and required more attention since you don't want it burned. I would recommend doing it at least one hour prior to your event. I melted about 4 pounds (2 big bags). However, it took me more time because I melted smaller portions until I got everything melted. I wouldn't turn on the machine until you have all the chocolate melted. Just leave it on heating setting and place the chocolate on it as you melt it. I got a pretty decent flow, it didn't look exactly like the photo on the box though. Probably I would need one more pound of chocolate to get that effect. However, I got to say that it was a wonderful addition to my party, the kids loved and I was very pleased. Good product for the money. It is also easy to clean up. My husband did it and told me that it took him about 5 minutes. I didn't believe at first but it make sense when you do it IMMEDIATELY after turning off the machine. I hope my advice helps you in your decision. Have fun!!!

Great product
We used this for a party for about 30 people and it was a big hit. It worked well and was quieter than I expected. I recommend following the directions closely and having plenty of Chocolate (4lbs/64oz). It did get messy on the table, but washing it was fairly simple. Definitely worth the price.

Grad party hit!
We purchased this for my daughter high school graduation open house. It worked beautifully and was a huge hit at the party. I used 6 bags of chocolate chips (Ghirardelli: 2 semi-sweet, 2 dark, & 2 milk) with a cup of avocado oil. It was the perfect balance and flowed great! I plugged in machine and set it to heat up while I melted the chips and mixed in the oil. Once it was melted, I added it to the machine and switched it to flow. It was a little gapped for the first minute as it adjusted but then flowed without any breaks in the stream….until towards the end of the night when we used up most of the chocolate. It ran for nearly 9 hours straight without an issue. I could hear the motor but it was not overly loud. My ice machine is louder. Really easy clean up! We will definitely be using this again at future events!

Disappointed!!!
Bought this chocolate fountain months ago and never opened it until yesterday so unfortunately missed my return window. The metal plate does not warm up enough to keep the chocolate melted. After a couple of minutes after pouring the the melted chocolate in it would clump up. I did notice that when I opened the fountain and took it out of the box it actually smelled like chocolate. I defintely think that was a used item that somene returned and then was resold. Very disappointed with this purchase!

Worked just fine for me
I ordered the Wilton Chocolate Pro 3-tier chocolate fountain to use at my son's 16th birthday party. I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews. But, I had the mind set that I would use it once, and if it didn't work, I'd toss it in the trash because I couldn't have rented one for the night for the price I paid anyway. I am happy to report that I had NO problem with it at all. I made sure it was level by using the attached level. That was easy! I heated it for about 20 minutes. While it was heating, I melted the chocolate chips in zip lock bags mixed with a little oil. I did not use that expensive "fondue" chocolate. I just used good old fashioned chocolate chips. I then poured the melted chocolate into the bottom of the fountain. It was melted just fine, but seemed a little thick, so I put some more oil in it. I stirred it and turned the knob and it flowed beautifully. I mean, every now and then it would "curtain" or open a little on the bottom layer, but to me that was not a big deal. I think I started out with 5 bags of melted chips, and later I added 2 more because I didn't want the chocolate level to get too low. Some other people wrote that it was loud, but I didn't think so. If you were in a totally quiet room, then yes, you could probably hear it running. But, it was not distracting at all...sort of like a fan running. My fountain ran for at least 4 hours, and there were about 60 people at the party, and we didn't have one single issue with it. I used marshmallows, pretzel rods, strawberries, and rice crispie treats with mine. It was a HUGE hit with the 16 year old girls....they went on and on about how much they liked it!! Several of the boys tried it out too, and everyone seemed to enjoy it. One hint - even with napkins and plates and long skewers, the chocolate will drip on the table. So, you probably don't want a white table cloth. What I did was use a dark blue table cloth (plastic!) and then I layed a few dark blue paper napkins around the base of the fountain. Every now and then I'd just throw them away and put some fresh ones down. That was just because I wanted it to look clean all night, and was just my own preference. But, you can expect drips. When it was time to clean up, I just dumped the left over chocolate into a garbage bag. I then took the middle pieces out and rinsed them off and put them into the dishwasher. I used a wet dish towel to wipe out the bottom. It just wasn't the horrible experience I had read about. Well worth the money I spent.
