Rick Riordan Presents: Aru Shah and the Song of Death-A Pandava Novel Book 2 (Pandava Series)

Another great story!
Aru and Mini are getting the hang of this whole Pandava thing when things suddenly go crazy in the Otherworld. The reason: the god of love's bow and arrow have been stolen. and the thief is turning people into heartless zombies. And as if that wasn't enough, Aur is framed for the theft. In order to prove her innocence, Aru is given until the next full moon to find the bow and arrow and return it or face being kicked out of the Otherworld - forever. Joining Aru on her trip is her soul-sister, Mini, Brynne, who has secrets she's not revealing to all, and Aiden, who lives across the street from AruJust like in the first book of the series, Aru and her teammates will encounter all sorts of adventures, fight various battles, discover that they may not have the whole story, and learn how to rely on each other to succeed. I really enjoyed the story and the chance to get to know the new characters. The addition of Brynn and Aiden really helped to round out the group. I also really liked the pop culture references; I think one of my favorite parts was when they were torturing the crab with songs from The Little Mermaid. After listening to this book, again narrated by Soneela Nonkani, I am definitely looking forward to listening to the next book in the series - and the rest of the series. I am also enjoying learning more about another pantheon of gods, particularly one that isn't seen often. Of course, one of the biggest draws to continuing the series is to see how things go with Wifey. LOL.If you haven't read Aru Shah and the End of Time, the first book of the series, you definitely should. Then, once you've read/listened to the first book, you'll be ready to go with reading/listening to this book.

Best book i’ve read for a while
I love this book. It is beautifully written. There are just some sentences that leave me in awe, and it surprises me that roshani can even think of ways to solve a problem. I would recommend this book for people who don’t like when a book is to predictable. But beware; in this adventure you may get angry, laugh, and cry. Also cliffhangers should be illegal.I will wait for 2020!

Do I like Aru Shah more than Percy Jackson?
It’s at least a tie.If you haven’t read this series, you need to get on it. Song of Death continues the Pandavas adventures with Chokshi’s signature combination of incredible detail and humor.

Hilarious (most of the time) and engaging characters!
I love this series. I love Aru. I love how human she is. The lying thing kind of bothered me in the first one, but I understand it. Also, I really enjoyed the adventure in this one. Even if there were some pretty direct connections with media. (Taylor Swift, Moana) things that probably won't stand the test of time. But, it also makes it fun and silly in the good way that I think sometimes I take for granted. It's a great book and I can't wait to see where she takes the story next! I do feel like this one was a pretty typical adventure book, get a quest, go find the thing. But the way she drew the characters together was wonderful. Each of them has their strengths and weaknesses. And the ending was powerful. I love the way she writes, and I love this world and am eagerly awaiting my return to it.

Review by a 9-year old
I read Aru Shah And The End Of Time, and this book is the perfect addition to the series. First you start with Aru and Mini, then the story sends some helpers: Aiden and Brynne. When you just open the book you can tell It's going to be a good one. Well that is what I felt when I opened the book. When you start reading you're never going to put the book down. With the God Of Love's bow gone, the world goes into chaos. Thousands of people are found missing. Aru,Mini,Aiden, and Brynne are on the trail of the thief. With all the same humor as Aru Shah And The End Of Time (which is a lot) you won't stop laughing.

Interesting read for 10 year old
I bought this for my 10 year old daughter who is into Rick riordan and likes it much. She got through it very quick though, in a few hours in a day. So I bought all 3, a week later, I am back shopping for more :-(I was unable to get it as a pack and part 3 was not available in paperback.
