New York Noise Abatement
These tiles are a good solution to my street music and traffic noise problem. I had to use 9 sets (1.5 packages) per window, but was able to form a barrier up against the glass. Fortunately, I don't need natural light particularly in this office/room. It is correct that tape does not adhere at all, so I used packing box tape to go all the way around in the middle, slightly snug, so that the tape adhered onto itself (like putting a bow on a package). I could then tape multiple squares together, tape to tape, one square to another, to form a 4x4 grid. Then I taped it to the window frame (again tape to tape). It is important not to leave any gaps, and to ensure the squares are flat against the glass. The Levolor blinds dropped down also improve the hold against the windows and hide them cosmetically from view.I'm not sure why anyone has to put these under water to expand. Mine expanded immediately out of the shrink-wrap, with the exception of just a couple that took a couple of hours.Very happy with the purchase.

The best Acoustical Panels on Amazon
I love the shape of these pads, it’s way better than having egg carton shaped ones on your way that look cheap. I would like to say that no double sided tape will stick to these, none. So you have to put a strong glue between the tape and the pad to make sure they lock together. I put 6 up at night and by the next morning they were all on the floor. I used a strong glue and now they are locked in. These pads come shrunk down to a size of a piece of paper but I assure you they all go back to their original form, just give them time. I rated value for them high because for $6 each it’s a lot for a piece of foam. If they were cheaper I would buy a lot more. The sound quality absorption is pretty good, but unless you cover the entire wall with these you will get slight echo return on exposed drywall. For now, these are the best you can find on Amazon.

The Truth
Basically anyone saying the foam is coming in warped is half true.If you just open it up and place it on the wall it’s going to be warped because of air compressing. Now if you follow the instructions and soak them in warm/hot water. They all grow to the correct size.Overall they work and they look great. Is it a lot of manual labor and set up?Yes.You’ll need adhesive spray to put these panels onto a surface that will work with dry wall adhesion.Best method is placing panels on cardboard and then using command strips to place on the wall.Worst part about these is the dry time after soaking them. They take forever to dry because of the trapped moisture. But if you have the time and patience to set these up properly you’ll love them.

Best soundproof foam tiles without a doubt on Amazon
After searching through all of the foam tiles on Amazon I ordered these and another that seemed good as well. These are by far the best. Need to soak in warm water and toss in the dryer for a bit. Don’t look any further

Just Arrived
They do come vacuum sealed. If they arrive flat, you'll need to run them under water, ring them out, allow them to dry, and they will inflate again. Can't really say much about the noise cancelation and absorbency, yet! I just put them on my ceiling today, waiting for my neighbor to return to see if there is a noise difference. The adhesion worked great with pairs of velcro command strips. As stated, I just put them up today, will return to provide an update.

Good product, instructions need added step.
Product works as intended. However, most reviews note inconsitencies in size. That problem is eliminated if you soke the panels in warm water and let them air dry. Some panels you may have to soak more than once. The use of water is noted in the pictures on Amazon, but no such notation is noted in the actual instructions that come with the product. So long as you soak them, you should end up with panels of equal size and depth.

Decent panels, look nice stacked
I bought 48 panels and around 10 of them were discolored. I sent a few pictures to the seller and they sent more right away. So, the seller is great! The panels themselves do a decent job of absorbing reflections. I bought some cork backing board and attached six foam panels to each with some spray adhesive. After that I attached them to the walls with 3M command strips.

used in between floors - not so great
I didn't have any expansion or smell issues some others had. They come compressed (6 per bag) and expand to full thickness in a few hours - at most overnight. Installed them in the basement ceiling to try to limit sound from the kitchen to my "office" in the basement utility room. Floor joists are on 1' centers, so these fit up there well - I didn't modify them at all, just bent them in half and put the edges up to the corner between the joist and the floor above. They make a "U" shape, but stay in place just with friction. Unfortunately, they don't do much to change the sound transmission. Not sure what I will buy next, these were about $4/SF. Was going to buy more to finish the room, but after this intial trial, not going to spend anymore money on these. Guess you have to spend more to get something that works.

Quality, Color’s, shape and width not the same between 6 pack & 24 pack.
Color’s, shape and width not the same. Purchased 2 6 packs for a trial and they were exactly what I needed, same shape, black and all 2x12x12. The. made a second purchase of the exact same item but I picked the 24 pack instead of the 6 pack. Received a different product as I’m concerned, a lighter color, different angle cuts, approx. 1/4” “”less width, and denseness not as good, noticeably lighter. This sold under the same product with a approx 25% cheaper for the 24pack vs buying 4 6packs. What a scam, make it look like your getting a bulk discount but reality is it’s a actually a cheaper product solid as the same quality as the 6pack. Contacted the company and they basically denied it and blamed everything from batch to batch differences to the weather, yes the weather!Oh well I actually needed 400 and was looking to understand what consistency I should expect if I ordered all of them in one purchase, looking for another supplier.6 pack good purchase, but too expensive.24 pack bad purchase, not same quality as the 6packs and not the same product.IMHO, the 6 pack quality solid at the 24 pack price is a win win for all. In the end it’s just foam, nothing special.
