Verizon LG Accolade VX5600 Camera GPS Cell Phone - New - No Contract Req'd

Had to find replacement phone for 87-yr-old for texting. Texting is really his only task, so didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. This phone has a camera which appears to take good photos, Voice quality is good. Text size adjusts large enough for Dad to see. NO memory card, I was disappointed in that. The booklet says it prints to Bluetooth. We don't have any printers that qualify so could not try that. What I was thrilled about was that I could replace it on Verizon so easily. Had a very, very frustrating experiencing trying to get a replacement phone thru Verizon directly, twice. Insisted on large data plan was required to get any replacement phone. We do not use smartphones. When I saw this phone, the price was good, it was Verizon compatible and had other features we needed, I decided to try ---- especially since it was on Amazon. Simple directions came with the phone. In addition it said if I had any difficulty to contact the Amazon via info given for assist. I cleared a whole afternoon knowing it would not be as easy as the paper said. Took 5 min!!!! I just followed steps. Done !! Of course, I now have to go check my Verizon bill to see if it was TOO easy and my bill has increased. Wish me luck.

Great Phone... but I am 1 of the few people that still uses a phone to make phone calls. I like the older flip phone's ,close it put it in my pocket and go on my way! But Verizon wouldn't allow me to move my service that I had with them for over 6 years. AT&T wouldn't allow an activation because I didn't buy it from them ! If you are a WIERDO like me and need a "PHONE" to make a " PHONE CALL " go to the $$$ store and get a $29 flip phone with straight talk. $35 monthly unlimited talk text. Be a Wise Guy and " FORGET ABOUT IT "...

This is my favorite phone. It is simple and reliable. I had two of them and lost them. I am really writing to tell you not to buy this phone from Planet Mobile. I bought this phone a third time, this time from Planet Mobile. There were some weird things about the settings that were not on my other two, but I was just happy to have my phone. Within two months the paint was peeling off. The first two phones I had held charges for 10 days - 2 weeks because I rarely use it. I have had it less than a year and it needs to be charged every couple of days despite the fact that I rarely use it (often don't even turn on my ringer and often have 0 minutes of talking and my text plan is 250 free texts which I never even come close to using). Now the phone is coming apart at the seam by the speaker. Yesterday I used the headphone jack and the cover popped off. This is obviously a used phone that Planet Mobile tried to pass off as new. Get this phone if you can, just don't get it from Planet Mobile.

This is a replacement phone, the old one was just plain wore-out. Verizon does not offer it any longer. I wanted to have the exact same phone again, I liked it so well. I was very pleased I could find it on Amazon. I use this phone everyday, it is simply my "only phone" I do not have a land-line, nor do I text, therefore this phone is perfect. It is small, yet I can set the screen to large print size. It has never butt-dialed anyone. I have dropped it numberous times, yet sustained no damage--it is the toughest phone I have ever owned, no otter box required. It's outside display screen scratches fairly easy, and the hindge could be improved are my only suggested upgrades. It takes fairly decent pictures and hold around 300 shots- not bad atall. I may buy another one soon just in case Amazon stops caring them too. I highly recommend this phone to simple users and the elderly. No frills-just good phone. I will be a sad day when we are all forced to own smart phones, don't need one, don't want one- just let me have this simple flip phone and I'm a happy gal.

This item does what I need it to do (replace my old-man's crumbling flip-phone), and seemed like a good value. Worked on my existing Verizon Contract. The biggest hassle was getting the contacts *off* of the old phone, but that has nothing to do with this item.That said, I don't get how it is that Amazon continues to allow these clearly refurbished phones to be listed as NEW. I did not really expect that I was going to be getting a NEW phone, but it sure was listed that way. This is a 5+ year old phone, and I can't believe has been manufactured (brand-new-from-the-factory) in a long time. It would be unreasonable to expect a NEW phone, so why continue to list it as such?

THIS IS THE SECOND ONE I'VE PURCHASED OVER THE RECENT YEARS AND LOVE IT BECAUSE I'M 77 AND DON'T WANT THE HASSLES OF TRYING TO LEARN THESE MODERN ANDROID/SMART PHONES. JUST WANT TO MAKE/RECEIVE PHONE CALLS, AND KEEP MY CONTACTS IN THE PHONE AND DO A COUPLE OTHER THINGS. DON'T HARDLY EVER USE A CELL PHONE ANYWAY, AND THIS IS ON VERIZON'S $.25 A MINUTE PLAN, SO IT SUITS MY NEEDS WELL. ALREADY HAVE SPECTRUM'S LAND LINE PHONE AT HOME, BUT ALWAYS HAVE THIS FLIP PHONE WITH ME AND CHARGED UP IN CASE OF CAR TROUBLES, IN CASE I START FEELING SICK AND CAN QUICKLY CALL MY DAUGHTER, OR LOTS OF OTHER THINGS. NOT GOING TO BE WITHOUT IT UNTIL VERIZON SAYS......YOU HAVE TO GO TO 5-G. POOH ON THAT! I DON'T WANT THAT.....PERIOD! 7/19

I was really surprised at how new the item looked. The only problem I am having is the volume. People are having difficulty in hearing me when we talk on the phone. I have to press the flip portion of the phone to my mouth to be heard. I have tried all the settings, but none of them have changed this situation.
