3D DOODLE KIT

I am a PhD candidate studying visual perception. You can imagine my dismay when I bought this item and discovered it has the following stupendous defects: First, it's impossible to adjust the width between the two pencils as you draw. Instead, you have to stop drawing, adjust the width, and try and continue your stroke in a way which doesn't look like garbage. And this doesn't allow you to continuously vary the stereo offset as would be needed to render a gradually receding object. Second, the cyan filter does not match the "cyan" pencil provided! Since marks made with the "cyan" pencil are clearly visible to both eyes, this item does not (as sold) fulfill its basic function of allowing the creation of drawings with stereo depth. Extremely disappointing.

Item is not quite as pictured
The picture included with this listing doesn't actually match the product: there is no pad of paper included, but more importantly, the item itself is not in the picture. The doodler is a hinged piece of plastic that works like a compass, but with two pencils instead of one pencil and one sharp metal point. There is a red pencil and a blue pencil included, and you can adjust the width between the two lines, which ultimately adjusts the depth of your resulting 3D picture. It requires an adult's dexterity to adjust the width while actually in the process of drawing, but the pictures a kid can draw are still pretty neat when viewed through the glasses. A cute little toy for a reasonable price.

3-D? Not so much...
I bought this kit for my brother, who is an artist. I thought he would enjoy looking at his sketches in 3-D. Unfortunately, this kit did not allow him to do that. He followed the instructions but we were unable to get any images to jump off the page. Next time I'll save my money and take him to a 3-D movie instead.

Fun, but a little "cheap"
This is fun, does what is advertised, my nephew loved it. The glasses are little flimsy and aren't going to last long, but may make it through the pad of paper.

Didn't really work as described!

do not waste your money
This toy was not easy for a 9 yr old to figure out. The cheap pencils lead broke easily and then could not be sharpened. When we tried to finally draw a doodle ,the color in the glasses seemed too thick and didn't make the image look 3D at all.

Bought as a present for young nephews, they found it awkward to get to work effectively, it was a little disappointing.
