Excellent! Works as it should!
Powerful. It maintains 14.0 -14.3 volts while charging. simply plug into charging controller it has helped me out with charging my devices as i burned out my cigarette 12v in my car. it continues to charge devices even when it's a cloudy day!

While not exactly "light", it does provide a decent amount of wattage
Please keep in mind that when it comes to solar panels the wattage rating usually equates to what is possible under laboratory conditions and just about never can be recreated in the real world. With that said, here's my review: As the headline reads, this is not exactly 'light'. Surely easy enough for one person to move around and deploy and it folds down to a size that was easy enough to find room for behind the front seat of my truck. Since my RV already has a decent MPPT charge controller I decided I'd add on to the existing one (besides the included controller that came as part of the 'kit' HAS to be protected from the elements (direct sun & moisture) so was of little use to me to use along with my existing one. The 'kit' came with a ~10' cable that has connectors on both ends to use hooking it up. One end has a SAE connector that plugs into the panel and the other end I cut off and replaced with Anderson connectors. A word of caution here: Due to SAE's 'keying' the +/- wires will reverse unless a little SAE-2-SAE adapter is used to change the polarity of the wires. Given I don't live in a LAB and I'm above the 45th I did not have high expectations for this panel. However it was a bright and sunny day in May and with a clear view of the sky (not a cloud in it) I set up the panel in my front yard. My existing solar panel (68W) was putting out ~40W when I plugged Dokio in parallel to it. The solar panel wattage reading on my phones Bluetooth app went from ~40W to ~210W after plugging in the Dokio - showing that the Dokio 220W panel was providing ~170W of the ~210W total. IMHO: not bad! I plan on adding a fused SAE connector on my RV and keeping the panel behind the front seat of my truck. While the included cable is far to short (I ordered a 25' SAE-2-SAE cable from Amazon) this will come in handy to add more 'juice' while I'm out in the wild - which is mostly what I do when I go out camping, I rarely have RV hookups even when I camp at official campgrounds. (I'm a boondocker!) Granted, had I not already had a better solar controller installed I could of wired up and installed the one included in the kit. Sure, it is fairly basic but at least it has different battery type settings so you can match it to what your using. I should note that when my panel kit arrived all that showed up was the panel box, nothing else! I contacted Amazon which asked me to contact the vendor and within 24hrs they responded and 48hrs later a FEDX truck dropped off the rest of the kit! I'd say very good support from the vendor! To conclude I'd say that so far I'm happy with my purchase and the support I've gotten from the vendor. :) UPDATE (9/22/2022): I've tried using the panel a number of times since purchase. As an example, I currently have it set in my front yard attempting to charge a power brick. While @ 9AM the sun is low in the sky the entire panel is 'lit' with sunlight but only putting out ~50W of power. As a 'control' I also plugged in a 100W panel and only got 25W out of it.

Small and light
For the money it's a great option. You will not get 160 watts, closer to 100w. However I just use them as an addition to our rooftop solar in our RV. I built a kickstand on each panel. I changed the controller for an mppt variable voltage that was about $40 and use that to directly plug into our e bike batteries. That works great and charges them quickly and it's set to automatically to stop at the correct charged voltage 54.6v. The bike controller confirms this. It takes on average 1-4 hours to charge depending on how low the battery is. I also charge our 1500w power station with it. I have a fused auxillary connect on my 2 x 75amp lithium coach batteries that I can connect to assist the roof top solar on cloudy days. The fabric does degrade in the sun. You can just use hvac reflective tape or duck tape etc when this happens. For a dollar a rated watt this is worth the money considering the cables and controller. Best to upgrade the controller. I have 2 mppt ones. 1 for bikes other for everything else. Make sure you don't reverse polarity on the connectors, check with a multi meter and have extras of polarity connectors.

Nice Lightweight Solar Charging Kit
Very nice set of solar panels just wish they included a set of stands because they are pretty inefficient without putting them on a proper angle to the sun. The company sells the stands separately. The stands they sell are alright but where they weld the rods to breaks easily. I posted a bad review on the stands and the company reached out to me and are sending me another set so they are very receptive to the customers needs. When used at the proper angle these panels deliver. They put out a respectable 8.8amps @ 22.5 volts open circuit. I made this setup more efficient by using a 12gauge SAE extension and a portable MMPT charger as the one they provided is adequate but I need every watt these panels deliver to recharge my Ham Radio battery’s out in the field and and MMPT charger can keep delivering power even on cloudy days . The panels are nice and light so if you have to trek your gear by carrying it a distance this is great and was my main reason for purchasing this brand. They are very thin and folded up are only about 2” thick and about 9 lbs with the controller and cables. They have a nice storage compartment built in. If I can make one suggestion to the company to make this the greatest system. Build stands into the panels backs like a photo frame has so you don’t need a set of stands. It would make these truly light and an even better product. These panels charge a 12.8 volt 20 Ah LIFEPO4 battery from a shut off voltage of 10.1 volts to a full charge in about 2.5hrs in direct sun light. The only gripe that I had was setting the provided PWM charge controller to B4 so it could charge LIFEPO4 batteries. Very confusing but I finally did it. This is one of the reasons I purchased a nice MMPT charger dedicated to charging this type of battery. You can’t go wrong buying these great panels. They also provided a nice set of accessory’s with these panels including a set of alligator clamps and multiple charging plugs. Very well thought out accessories.

i really want to like these panels but.....
they are not 300 watt panels. i suspect they are 240 watt. i ordered three sets of these, they were all supposed to be new, they were all used, but in good shape. two of the sets out put is exact, one set is about 6% less than the other two for what ever reason. this folding panel kit inludes everything but the battery, but the cables are so short you will be sitcking your batter out in the sun to get charged, same with the charge controller. you can buy extensions but you need to know these panels can and i can confirm will output 17 amps @ about 13.8volts, so be mindful of your cables, that is a fair amount of amps for such low volts. the panels are heavier than i thought they would be, which can be a good thing, they fold up and can be stowed easily, but this is also a problem. they absolutly need to do be flat and angled towards the sun for good power production, like all solar panels. i think everyone leaving reviews talking about 140 watts is expecting good performance laying flat, which i understand almost all youtubers show them flat on the ground. so, they need to be propped up and angled correctly, this panel is large and floppy. i built a stand for them and guess what, now i have to tote this stand around with me, making these panels not so portable and easy. glass panels can be leaned against anything and they hold their shape, these dokio panels will flopp and bend under their own weight almost like a wet peice of paper, and they can crack if you arent careful. also, just 4 inches on grass shadow on one panel will reduce its output by almost 1/4. it appears i got more power than anyone that mentioned actual stats, and i used my own equipment to measure this. the dokio pwm controller lies, it will claim 250 watts when i am in fact getting 220 watts for example. i have all kinds of stats i can share, and i can tell you i think i found the cells these panels are made of and i think the manufacture lies about the cell stats which leads to dokio's numbers being wrong. i will tell you just a few more stats: laying the panels flat in the grass i got (not the best day for sun) : 12.72v x 7.16a=91 watts, put it up on my stand and i got: 12.98v x 12.73a=165 watts. i connected two dokio 300 watt panel kits in series on the ground and only got 12.79v x 11.01 amps =140 watts lol. one panel positioned correctly does better than two laying flat, i think the above tests were done around 2pm northern indiana in late february on medium partly sunny day using included pwm controller. since then i have had better tests and better days of sun and found this panel performs just as good on the included pwm as it does on my mppt charge controller. max power i have seen from pwm is 220 watts and about 13v 17amps= 225 watts on mppt, albeit using perfect angle charging a battery with a huge load to ensure max output from panels and controllers. this panel i suspect is made up four panels and i suspect the are actually 60 watts each not 75. also they are wired in parallel, which is not good as it shoots the amps up and while we want good amps it is important to know how V x A = W and we should have high voltage and lower amps going to the charge controller, then let the controller step it down to 12v for the battery. i wish i knew more about the internal construction as i suspect if you were to rewire these in series and ran them to a mppt you could get a 50 foot cable and get about 230 watts from them with the controller and batteries inside where its at least dry and out of the sun. i am returning these as i can and have got three glass panels that will give me about 276 watts wires in series with 50 foot cable run, according to my current test data, for about $240 and a mppt controller for about $100, which i already had for a total of $340 and they can be leaned against anything but i will continue to use the stand i built for the dokio panels. the dkio panels are over priced, they lie about its specs, they are floppy and you need to stand them up, right on the main selling page they say dont even leave them out side for one night which concerns me, the glass panels i got come with a 25 year warranty. i wanted to add that i did more testing today and two rich solar 100 watt panels produced about 98% of the power of this "300 watt" kit. i still like this kit and i bought 3 and decided to keep one, may toss it in a vehicle or take it to work for emergency power, especially since we are headed into tornado season now.

Works so well that I bought a third one.
Bought 2 of these and took them on an 8 day boondocking camping trip in my 5th wheel to charge my Goal Zero Yeti 1000 power station. My wife and I use the Goal Zero Yeti 1000 to run our CPAP machines at night. I also used them to charge the 5th wheel batteries. Because of several factors (like clouds and the way I just threw them flat on the ground), I still had to run my gas generator a few times. Here is what I discovered: 1. I love these panels and just bought a third one. I also have two heavy Goal Zero 100W briefcase solar panels but they are so heavy I don't like them. Much prefer the DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. Much easier to store. 2. They never produced 160W but my Goal Zero 100W panels never produced 100W either. 3. I love the battery management control box that comes FREE with the DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panel. I can hook it directly to my 5th wheel lead acid batteries and charge them to full capacity in a few hours (time varies because of lots of reasons). 4. The cheaper DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels don't have a kick stand so I had to lay them against a rock or just lay them flat on the ground. This made them less efficient but I didn't have to keep adjusting them like I had to do on the Goal Zero briefcase 100W ones. 5. For the price of one 100W Goal Zero panel I can buy 2 DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. 6. In the morning I lay them flat on the ground, hook them up and don't mess with them until the sun goes down. 7. I just bought a third one and hope I won't have to run the gas generator at all (depending on the weather). If three isn't enough I will buy a fourth one and leave the Goal Zero ones at home. Bottom line: If money is no problem the best solution is to have permanent solar panel system installed on the roof of your RV. But if you buy solar panels you can't go wrong with these DOKIO 160W 18V Portable Solar Panels. Besides while I'm saving up for my home Tesla solar panels and back up batteries, I can use them at home for emergencies. Easy to lift and slim to store in the garage. Highly recommended.

Cheap, poor quality/reliability and lackluster manufacturer support
UPDATE (7/16/2026): My first attempt to get support on the power loss was in an email sent 6/22/2026. That email went without a reply from DOKIO. 5 days later, after documenting the defect I pursued warranty help in email to [email protected]. Six calendar days after not receiving a reponse to the warranty claim email, I sent the email again and added [email protected]. I also used a web UI to message on 7/3. The web UI prompted an email response from DOKIO on 7/8 saying "I have forwarded your request to the Dokio Amazon Operations Team. They will contact you shortly, so please check your email." No such email was received. Then on 7/16/2026 I received a reply to the first email requesting more information - so over two weeks to respond only to say they needed more information. The fact that there was some effort made to move the warranty claim forward is reason for me to change my rating from one star to two. My opinion of the brand is only slightly better than before. ORIGINAL REVIEW (7/4/2026) I was reasonably satisfied with the purchase at first. I was never able to get anything close to 150 watts, but under good conditions I was getting over 100 watts. The controller instructions on changing the battery type weren't accurate or clear. I was able to figure it out, but DOKIO support was not helpful. Once I got the battery type set correctly to b4 (LIfepo4) and began charging, I noticed that when the battery reached full charge the controller battery voltage would spike over 15V. This exceeds maximum Lifepo4 charging voltage. After a few months of light usage the best power output I could get from the panel was approximately 70 watts - a >30% reduction and less than half of the rated output. Had I still been inside the amazon return window, I would have simply returned. Since the window had closed I began serious troubleshooting. I used a thermal camera to diagnose. I tracked down a significant source of the power loss to the SAE connector integral to the panel. Upon closeup inspection of the connector I found that the metal terminal sleeve inside the female side of the connector was recessed 1,2cm. The male terminal of the SAE connector on the charging cable was only about 1cm long. I clearly documented the problem with optical and thermal images of the panel under no load, comparing to images under load, and of the problem SAE connector. I tried to file a warranty claim, but the effort proved completely fruitless - DOKiO didn't even respond once to multiple emails. I could have replaced the connector with a better connector, but that seemed like a bad idea in that I would likely void any warranty claim for other potential problems. In addition to the connector issue I saw some significant hot spots in the panel that were only present under load, indicating significant loss. it was enough to make me concerned that simply replacing the connector wasn't going to fully resolve the degradation in power output. The product description here on amazon has a section titled "From the brand" that indicates "Fast fix, no extra cost. Item faulty, contact us first..." - don't believe it. When I searched for DOKIO on the web I found different pages with contradictory information - one indicating amazon is the exclusive seller another indicating only purchases made direct through DOKIO store are eligible for warranty. It's a confusing and frustrating brand with very poor quality and customer support. I do not recommend it.

I bought it to charge an 1,800W class of power station. It is vary convenient that the various size of DC connectors are provided for. There are no special problems so far, and performance testing has not been done yet.

Easy plug and play hook up, charges well on cloudy days and great when in full sun, light weight.
The Dokio 110 watt system I set up worked well in cloud and sun. I built a simple plywood support frame and let it go to work. Charging ranged from 24 volts in full sun to 13.5 low in full cloud. It was a good unsettled day to test the unit. I had two 90 amp hour deep cycle batteries hooked up in parallel and my IPad which was at 16% charge from start time. The batteries started with a reading of 12.9 volts and after after 5 hours were 13.5 volts. The IPad was at 75% charge after 4 hours. I also like the charge controller readout screen. It keeps you informed of the performance and constantly monitors the pv output. I can see that we will be able to extend our RVing off the grid considerably without worry about losing power or resorting to a generator. A 200 watt system would likely keep the batteries fully charged but for us, this will do the job nicely. Super happy so far.
