Kegco KC ATK Conversion Kit, 1 Tap, Chrome

I was so happy with my first kegco product that I decided to expand my system and ordered this add a tap. I received genuine kegco parts and all necessary items with the exception of the gas manifold that I ordered separately and a faucet wrench which I already have a couple of. Looks like I have room for 3 1/6 kegs in my fridge so I will be ordering one more soon.

I have bought three of these. The first one was great as my first beer line in my keezer. It was missing the tap handle however I already had a nicer one I was planning on using. Everything worked perfectly and was good quality considering the price.I decided to buy two more to add to my keezer. These were clearly a different brand and not from kegco. Gas line was red and didn't have the snap connectors. These coupler were also a different design and a huge step down in quality ( the kegco version is shorter and has a red end on the handle as pictured). As pictured, you can clearly see corrosion on the keg couplers especially in the threads. One also had some leftover plastic residue inside the coupler and the other was missing the gas line!I'd give the real kegco version 5 stars and any other version zero

The kit worked well, and was easy to install. The shank was long enough to put a piece of scrap wood inside the door of the refrigerator which provided additional support. The pieces are of good quality. The faucet has a 3/8 threaded male stem where the handle attaches. If attaching a custom tap handle might need to buy a 3/8 female coupler. You will not regret this purchase!

Beware its not a Kegco coupler, its a Chill Passion piece of junk, the mold it was made from is bad, tollerences of the edges than fit into the keg are off, I have 3 other couplers from Kegco and when you compare side by side this one is awful. It is false advertising, they say Kegco and ship you a Chill Passion, what a waste of time! Look closely at the metal and the curved section, the tollerances compared to a quality coupler is not even close.

This is a complete kit and will get you a kegerator if you have the keg, fridge and CO2. I had a problem with the poor quality of the coupler; it seems to have loose tolerances and didn't give a great fit when attached. Also, my FOXX beer tubing must have been an off batch because it tainted the beer with rubber flavor and aroma. I ended up replacing the coupler with one recommended by my local brewery (Micro Matic) and purchase PET line at Home depot. Now, every pint is perfect!

I've used this for numerous kegs and have had no problems. It's a reasonable way to turn an old refrigerator into something awesome. One thing to be aware of is if you don't use the tap for a little while even with a keg hooked up, beer can build up in the valve and dry out. You can damage the brass pieces if you try to pull the tap handle if this occurs.

I received the conversion kit quickly but was disappointed to see a part was missing. I called customer service and they sent the necessary part out right away. Be sure to wet the seals before assembly. The tap was drawing in air and causing excessive foam. Once the seals were lubricated with beer and reassembled the head was just right.

So far it has been the best thing I have purchased in a long time!! Install was simple, plenty of line.Make sure you get the kegco brand.
