I bought these because I was at my wits end with a cat that wouldn’t stop scratching the living hell out of herself. We’d been to the vet several times and it seemed like we were stuck in a vicious cycle. The cat was stress-scratching so we put her in a cone, but that stressed her out, so she wanted to scratch... These were the answer. She no longer needs to wear the cone because she can’t damage herself scratching anymore. Her self-inflicted wounds and bald patches are healing and she is more herself. Hopefully these will give her the break she needs to get out of the cycle. I don’t intend them to be a long-term solution. They look cute, but she’s not a big fan. They don’t seem to impede her in any way, but she’s aware they’re not normal. I’d recommend them for this purpose, but I think they’re a terrible idea as a fashion statement. If there’s a clinical need to stop a cat scratching (itself or other things), these will do the trick, but they’re not toys, and neither is your cat. So yeah, they’re great for what I needed, but don’t take this as an endorsement of accessorising your cat.

DO NOT BUY: I bought these for my kitten thinking they were safe. The glue is toxic and it’s super glue. I took my kitten to the vet and they were so shocked I felt completely embarrassed I wasn’t aware it was basically animal abuse. They said they had not seen anything like this and it shouldn’t be sold online let alone amazon.

Hi thanks for reading my review I recently purchased this product and instantly after applying nail cap to my cats claws she had an instant reaction resulting in the toe to become red. Her claws became inflamed. Had to take the caps off which was not an easy task as the glue is strong really wouldn't recommend it to anyone after my personal experience with this product hope this helped.

The request has arrivedBut we regretted doing that to the cat because she was so upset and tried to pull out a nails that we could not take to the clinic and the nails were removed under general anesthesia.Advice not to put a cat's nails severely torture her I do not mean this type I mean what kind of nails do not use

Well, I loved this product and indeed solved the problem of the cats clawing furniture, however - the caps naturally fall off and you need to cut you cat claws when you replace them. One of the caps did not fall off and i left it in place, this was a big mistake as the claw grew around into my cats paw including the cap, please don’t let this happen to your cat, it broke my heart it was my fault for not checking. I’ve stopped using and brought more scratch post.

Dont be fooled by his fluffy face, he likes to randomly attack your leg as you walk past, he’s left some nasty marks on my daughter from sneaky attacks so i decided to try these.He didnt like them and sulked, bit most of them off within an hour but i’ve persevered with putting them back on over the last 3 days and he is getting used to them.He cant scram while these are on which gives me reassurance as a parent.

Cat hates them but my dog and furniture is grateful
