Planets and the Solar System (Smithsonian Kids First Discovery Books) Review: Text has questions to engage your little scientists! - Sturdy hard cover book with colorful graphics! Fun parent-child interaction encourages child to point to planets and other objects in space. Great way to introduce a child to our solar system. Review: Not really for toddlers - I'm a teacher and I really like this book and it's sensory features. I also like that it's a board book since it's a must in my classroom. I will say though that this book is not aimed for ages 1-3. Pictures and textures wise yes. But reading it to a child that young...no. The words are too small and busy for a toddler. This book is more for a young child in early elementary. Maybe as young as 4 to about 8. However, a toddler can absolutely explore this book. Or maybe you read only key points on its pages. Purchased for a 6yr old kinder with autism that has an interest in planets. The child is able to read on about a 1st or 2nd grade level and would not be able to read this book nor sit through the entire book being read. Book Exploration is key to growing a child's interest in books, topics, and reading ability.

The best book on planets for toddlers
Excellent card board book for toddlers. High quality pictures that have bright colors and 3D texture which is fun to touch. The book is accompanied with quality information. My 2 year olds love it and I enjoy it too! We have a collection of all toddler books about the the space you can buy but this one has a super quality above all.

Amazing little book
My 21 month old just recently got into planets. I bought this little book and he went crazy for it! It’s the perfect size for his little hands and big enough for him to carry it around. He can now identify all of the planets and it’s helped his vocabulary a lot. The pictures are kid friendly without being too cartoonish and has nice texture on all of the pictures. The descriptions are very informative as well. Will definitely be buying more of these books as he grows!
